Wow, those would be perfect if the quality was up to snuff.
Now I'm really intrigued about having a six button controller, so I may end up ordering a Hori. I can always return it if it's too bulky.
Can confirm that SSF2 on MAME is tough as nails. The AI on SNES is not nearly as brutal. SSF2 Turbo on MAME is the most grueling I’ve come across. Gotta keep the kiddos pumping in those quarters heh.
Yeah the way Discord handles images can’t be beat. Not sure how good it would be for having multiple threads for different issues and revisiting old posts and what not, but it’d be great for just reporting bugs as they come along.
haha, it’s all a bit hazy, my man
One thing I noticed about running these in MAME is that the default aspect ratio isn’t 4:3, but much wider. It’s interesting that they developed them that way when all the arcade machines were of course 4:3 (at least for the most part). They actually...
Right on. This is the kind of veteran knowledge I was looking for. Really appreciate it. I’ll dive into Alpha 2 tonight.
Agreed. That controller is incredible. If it had a dpad it’d be perfect for me.
Maybe I should scoop one of these up eventually...
Alpha 2 is where it’s at, eh? I’ve been playing Alpha 3, but it’s not quite as good?
I was thinking about picking up Ultra IV on Steam.
Yeah, I just have trouble with special moves with the stick, mainly because it’s easy in the heat of battle to lose a sense of where exactly the switches are...
Question for you guys: what’s your favorite version of SF? I was a huge SF2 nut as a kid, but then I got distracted by girls, parties, and skateboarding and missed out on Alpha and III, so I’m rediscovering them now...and they’re badass.
Only issue is I’m actually better with a D-pad since SF2...
Yes, arcade mode is the normal setting.
One thing I noticed that feels different is the ball launcher seems to have a bit more variance now, so that’s a good thing.
Bravo, Zen. So cool to have this launch simultaneously across all platforms.
I’m away from my PC now, but I did try relaunching the game with no luck. You might be right about the download queue though. I noticed earlier there was an update for another game in my library that was paused, so maybe it was behind that in the queue. I did at least force the main update for...
That is a really handy video. Glad to hear Jared was able to help you get sorted. I was also lucky to have The Loafer as my personal guide into the realm of VPX. Guys like that make these things a breeze. :D
VPX is a treat, eh? Which tables are your favorites so far? So many incredible options...
wolfson Very cool!
The loafer Thanks for the recommendation. I also still need to try some of the others you suggested as well. I’ve been a bit distracted with MAME stuff, but it’s great that there are so many amazing table authors.
