Really pleased to see that SAFE CRACKER has received some love. Providing Farsight implement the token feature correctly (if they even offer it in the future) it will be a fine pack inclusion.
High Scores on IRL tables can be reset at a certain frequency (certain amount of plays). I like this idea adapted for online leaderboards.
For example, hacking leaderboards will become less attractive if hackers know their bogus scores will just disappear at the beginning of each calendar...
Finally! We no longer have to open Stalkbook to read updates: the news section has a list of mirrored posts from Sporkbook.
So when you get a tweet with a forwarded Zuckbook content, head straight over to the new website and read it there.
This is kind of what I was meaning when I suggested a...
Bat bat bat bat bat.
Which has variable results, but it's frenetic and exciting.
This is, in my opinion, the reason multiball was added into pinball. For excitement.
Or if you like: "we're here for a good time, not a long time".
Ryan already confirmed in a recent Android thread that hardware would need to *significantly* improve to allow the frame rate to be locked at 60 fps so physics engine limitations could be overcome. Emulating the tables is costly (performance-wise) on Android.
Read the related thread for more...
+1.
Those of us who support the Android version know the constraints Ryan is under with cross-platform development.
Having said that, we are feeling a little marginalised.
I'm hoping by the time the next episode airs, Android supporters will be feeling the love again.
I've got the Logitech Tablet Keyboard for the TF300T. It was a great keyboard for controlling pinball using USB/BT Joystick Center, and typing out verbose posts on forums.
The native integration is really promising, Ryan. Not only are the flipper very responsive on the TF300T, for the first...
So that is the key. Lock at 60 fps *and* push more detailed graphics for TPA physics to work correctly.
Even with Tegra 3 this can't be done, eh? Zen must be running their high res graphics at 30 fps then, or it must be the particulars of their engine that allows them to push higher frame...
See the thread started by Ryan in this forum for more information. Basically anything that can be Bluetooth paired to your device should work. USB OTG support should also work.
I wonder if we'll see Google Play Games support implemented into the game now Ouya had died down a bit. I know it was on Ryan's (impossibly long) TODO list.
But, hey, we're getting early builds with Controller Support in sometime today, so he's starting to smash some outstanding issues again...
*Bug*
No Alpha lighting on flashers in WhWnd or Champion Pub or Pin*Bot
*Description*
There are no beautiful flasher effects on any of the barrel flashers on any of these tables.
I know Alpha was removed in Pin*Bot due to a suspected issue with performance, but this issue was later proven to...
*Bug*
Framerate drop when WhWnd spinning disks pulse
*Description*
When activating the spinning disks during lock mode, the framerate drops to 30fps.
*Repeatable*
100%
*Device*
TF300T stock JB 4.2.1
*Additional Info*
Even with all other programs terminated, I get slowdown during this...
Confirmed, and same with the replay: no EB.
This seems to be the case for Replays and Specials on WhWnd as well.
Is this a new default setting in newer games, Ryan? Are the EBs being disables for replays and specials in tables moving forward?
You should definitely map the Wii Classic Controller for use in USB/BT Joy Center. I did that months ago when BT was working on my device and it was great. You can use the shoulder buttons to flip and the d-pad to control the tilt. The top two shoulder buttons were used for the special buttons...
You've managed to get a Wii Mote to work on Android 4.2.2 (the latest version on N7).
What sorcery is this!!!! :P
On the TF300T running 4.2.1, there is no chance a Wii Mote will work. Here's hoping ASUS push a 4.2.2 update for their "Big N7" sooner rather than later.
