On my TF300T, when I start the game I see a little menu icon to the right of the task switcher button.
It does nothing. It should be displaying menu options for the game, but TPA has no system options to change, so it contains nothing.
Also, the compatibility mode arrow icon in the system tray...
One of my favorite features of this tablet is the fact that you have front facing speakers. That is something annoyingly rare on tablets. The Res looks good, Carl. You should enjoy playing on that I think.
Managed to make this happen on Android today as well.
An additional note is that the select button acts like the start button, and will add a new player for each press. You need to return to Android home and restart the game to fix it.
What tablet do you have, HOW? Its worth noting that some Samsung devices do have support. And in the user guide, there are instructions that *may* get it working on devices with shady support.
The other option is to install a custom ROM. Most decent offerings have USB Host Support baked in.
USB/BT joystick center has support for this. If you are on Samsung, then you will want to test the controller first using the free test utility before you buy the app. Samsung has crappy USB Host API support.
Good luck all you TZ beta backers! Test hard!
On behalf of those who didn't have the pennies to splurge to that level, we thank you for your diligence in advance. :-D
That behavior may be specific to the PS3 controller (that's what you use, correct?)
All I do is pull the stick back from the neutral position toward the 6 o'clock position. Not all the way back though.
I play on a Wii Classic Controller plugged into the Wiimote. I have the controller...
I've worked out the perfect plunge (for me) on touch devices to award you the passenger on skill shot. This works 90% of the time for me. The pixel position of the plunger tip seems to be crucial now with the recent update. You may need to fine-tune your shot.

USB/BT Joystick Center ($2.50) also lets you map touchscreen events for rooted users. And it now has really great user docs as well #SelfPromotion ;-)
It also has huuuge support for many controllers. Wii, PS3, iCade, Xbox 360, to name a few.
Unfortunately any app that is allowed to interact...
I have noticed a notable pause (about 3-4 seconds) at the end of a game now on Big Shot. For example, if you flip at the end of ball 5 on Big Shot, and it is game over, the flipper stays engaged and the game looks like it has locked up.
It doesn't hang for me on the TF300T, but it looks like it...
That looks great!
You may not be aware, but you can use USB/BT Joystick Center and a Wii Classic Controller to get a similar experience.
Granted, you need a rooted Android device to map touch events to the controller using Joy2Touch Server...
And let it be known that Mantis does have Android and iOS apps available. And the ability to API inject bug reporting code into apps.
This is what I found from their website.
The device info and other system stuff could be injected automatically from system info available to the API.
We are certainly a passionate bunch here. If I was to sub-title this site, I would call it "the unofficial testing community of The Pinball Arcade".
A great deal of product testing results get updated here. It is a seething collective of knowledge and observed bugs.
On the subject of social...
I think that the lower levels should include beta testing as a basic reward.
Why?
It is in Farsight's best interests to have as many people as possible testing these kick starter tables.
The more eyes over the table, the better. Particularly on platforms such as Android.
