Observed something unusual with Cirqus Voltaire.
Because I deleted all my saves, I had to re-earn all the table achievements (actually quite a fun thing to do).
I "Joined the Cirqus" as a Cirqus Member today (12 Sep), however the game registered the achievement as being met on 12 Aug on the...
Chris Bucci has *all* the production tokens. If Farsight ever decides to immortalise Safe Cracker, he would be the person to contact to get hi-res scans of the original tokens.
Please do make this game, Farsight. It is unique and rare enough to be a candidate for preservation.
Fun house displays this behavior as well since the upgrade.
On another note, I Have been smashing BH with the significant graphics tweaks and the game was missing a LOT of detail from that lower play field. We have the corkscrew wormhole habit rail now! Looks great!
Confirm something for me...
I've noticed a trend that may be a key to performance issues. It may be total bollocks, but hey, I'm putting it out there for discussion.
==Theory==
I think the in-game performance you're seeing may have something to do with the state your device is in at the time you start the game...
This is a known issue with code relating to the ball trough. It will be fixed with the next beta build. Keep an eye on this thread tomorrow for the new apk link.
Harley
I've noticed that the match function is disabled in Harley. The games goes from bonus end to game over immediately. Is this a trend for all new and existing tables?
I was having a discussion about HDMI portrait orientation support for TPA with CrazyCoder ([Serge] on IRC).
What would be the likelihood of this being included as a fix in a future build, Ryan...
While I understand you can't divulge what happens during the STERN approval process, it still doesn't stop me from being *very* curious about these unreported issues that aren't bugs ;)
Let's just wait and see what the final build looks like.
As an Android tablet user, I would love to see this implemented. Would make playing TPA on the big screen an absolute joy!
From an uneducated (non-coder) viewpoint, I can't really see that this would be hard to implement. The game already supports both orientations. It just needs to honor the...
On the TF300T, I'm actually "feeling" the pop-bumpers popping for the first time because of the tweaked mechanical sounds. This tablet doesn't have a vibrator unit in it, so the bass-reflex chamber is the closest I'm going to get to game haptics.
Bring the bass!
I think the main point people are making in this thread is that:
Kickstarter = philanthropism.
We participated in the kick starter to better the world of pinball by getting TZ and (hopefully) ST: TNG preserved for future.
On that point, I concede that my expectations are 100% readjusted...
That is actually a good point that I didn't consider. The kickstarter results in 2000 less "traditional" sales that Farsight would have got from a standard release table.
Interesting...
I think $5 is a fair price for non-backers to pay. I'd be stoked to pay that if I wasn't able to back the kick starter.
What are your thoughts on holding the release for a few months to give backers a bit of exclusivity? After all without backers there would not be any premium tables.
Might...
I know. This is a contentious issue. But it needs to be asked.
I tend to agree that offering the table in a pack just would not work.
I think waiting to release the table for 1 month could be a good compromise for 'backer value'.
I've got the fire-retardant suit on as I write this post :-)
