Indiana Beach in Monticello still has a few pins if you guys ever get out that way (my old stomping grounds). Last I heard they had Addam’s Family, Simpson’s Pinball Party, South Park, Star Trek TNG, Funhouse, Theater of Magic, Bride of Pinbot, and Twilight Zone.
Do you guys remember the huge...
Read his post again. He said it was one of the rental options presented to him, but he's played it before and doesn't like it. So no, he was never "seriously considering picking X-Piles". :)
Yes, my old man was a trucker, heh. I used to go on the road with him as a tiny tot until I had to start school. Still remember rolling down the interstate listening to ZZ Top 8 tracks and playing around on the CB. :)
I dunno. The iPad version of Timeshock is pretty breathtaking, both the graphics and physics, especially compared to TPA. Yeah it sucks that it took so long and that it had to be kickstarted, but at least it finally happened, unlike Jpop's newest stuff.

I actually read that earlier tonight on IPDB and it got me wondering if the protoype art is available anywhere?
You're totally right about it not being quite so creepy in the context of its time, but the fact that they went with a middle-aged, mustached dude on the skateboard is pretty weird...
switch3flip hahahaha :D
karl yeah man, the playfield layout is really good. I got a chance to play one last year at the Arcade Expo in SoCal. Everyone was taking pics of the "unique" backglass, heh.
It's got it all...a creeper van, a 40 year-old weirdo with a porn stache on a skateboard trying to lure in underage girls, a chick wearing a wet t-shirt that's so tight you can see every centimeter of cleavage while she gets seduced by the shirtless dude. Not sure how it could possibly be any...
What is your sound card? A lot of sound drivers have EQ built in (Realtek for example which is really common). I have Realtek onboard mobo sound, and my Sirus 5.1 USB headset has EQ built into the driver too.
Yeah, TPA is easier by design so game lengths will be shorter in VP. Also, VP has a lot more randomness with the ball spin and such. Some VP tables are better than others since they are tuned differently depending on who made them.
