Ok, I'm in definite agreement on point one and I have to admit that what you're saying is a reasonable explanation for point two. I suppose that the small TV component and small TPA component of the lag when added together could just be pushing me over my perception threshold where it starts to...
When I'm saying content I'm not saying anything new or different is getting transmitted over the HDMI cable, or that the TV is sensing what the source is like game versus movie. I'm only talking about the complexity of the image data that its receiving and how the TVs internal processors react...
People have suggested resetting annually, and also eliminating the All-time leaderboard, so how about adding a Yearly filter to the existing Monthly and Weekly options in place of All-Time? That would fit well with the sports analogy of having a fresh slate each "season".
If they really...
I disagree. I would agree if you added the assumption of zero post-processing being enabled in the TV, or in other words that only lag in question was the one frame built into TPA's graphics processing. However we're talking about TVs that do have issues with post-processing, meaning that they...
I got to play a really nice freshly shopped Diner yesterday and I'm really glad I voted for it. It has some positive similarities with Taxi, and Dr. Dude to a lesser extent. Its a great game and needs to be in TPA.
Excellent link, thank you for posting that. If the impending fix doesn't pan out I'll try using the HDMI->VGA output cable for the PS3.
I am jealous of the folks with a TV model that has a properly functioning game mode that really turns off all of the post-processing, but the VGA work-around...
I'm surprised to hear you say that. I picked up Gottlieb Pinball Classics from the UK PSN Store recently and Goin' Nuts has been one of the most entertaining tables in the game, mostly because of the uniqueness.
Some LCD TVs (particularly Samsungs and some Sony models), even with everything turned off and game mode enabled still have a hard time with TPA's lighting effects. Its fair to say that these sets have a lot of display lag for certain types of effects, while for most sources they're perfectly...
That would definitely be a popular option on PS3, I hope it happens. I often run a second device to play music while playing TPA so having the option to do it in-game would certainly simplify things.
I would have MB in the top 10, somewhere near 7 or 8, but otherwise that's a pretty solid list. My order would be a quite a bit different, but mostly the same tables would be in it.
I used to use the bright green one on a lot of tables but a couple updates ago they made it a lot more reflective than its used to be (PS3). Since then I use the zebra ball a lot more because I don't feel like the green one stands out from the table as much as it used to.
Yeah, no worries, we can only work with the info we are given.
I personally think its a conspiracy to keep the consoles from catching up with the mobile releases..
