The same username that has 99,999 in Central Park also has 50,000,000 exactly in Black Hole. There are probably other odd scores from this username that are no longer listed at the top of the leaderboard now. I think this one is very suspicious and probably not due to any bug.
Hmmmm....maybe cash-entry tournaments could be introduced? FS could keep a small percentage of the entry fees. I know it is an extemely unlikely event, but it would be cool if there were tournaments that players could join that were similar to online poker sites.
I noticed "Rob", the all-time Black Hole leader, also holds the all-time record on Gorgar with over a billion points. So, I think something is up with his scores. Also, the same person with 50,000 points in Black Hole (redflame2013) also has a score of 99,999 on Central Park. Those do seem...
Yes, Black Hole is one of those tables where you can play until you get bored and lose interest. I am 32nd all-time, and I don't believe I've played it more than once or twice. I have all the Wizard goals left to do, so it is possible that I only played it one time and scored over 11 million...
I have the new 16x anisotropic texture filtering enabled. Seems like this type of filtering is perfect for a pinball table. While I have a GTX770 and don't expect this game to push my system that much, the game does seem to run better and look nicer with this latest update.
Fish Tales is awesome. I'd rather the development team slow down and get things right. There are tons of areas to investigate and hopefully improve with content that already exists. If dropping to a single table release offers a better use of time to fine tune and polish the game, I'm all for...
That would make sense. Although I could see the old EM games being a bit easier to design. On a side note, Firepower seems to be a bit easier now. Otherwise, I just had a transcendental moment and nearly breached the top 10 all-time leaderboard in my 6th game ever.
I already did this and I get 53x63 pixels. I'm even using the Faststone trial to make sure I was duplicating everything that you were doing. You should be able to download my screen capture above and test this in any image viewer/editor. I grabbed the screen using FRAPS and the pixels match...
FYI, after doing some further research on this I have discovered that the issue does not appear when using any 16:10 resolution, such as 1680x1050 or 1920x1200, but it does not look right with a 16:9 monitor in portrait mode, such as 1920x1080 (in portrait 1080x1920) that I use as my main gaming...
It is not wrong in all views, or with other tables I've played using the same view, just MM from the tables I have played in portrait mode. If this is my monitor, nothing else about the table behaves in this manner, just the Shoot Again indicator, and it is only severe in view 3 portrait mode...
Look at my screen capture for Portrait mode View 3 a few posts above.
The Shoot Again indicator appears to be longer from top to bottom, as if the perspective is from the side. I understand an oval shape, but we are centered over the flippers, and by proxy, the Shoot Again indicator directly...
Yes, the basic properties of physics have not changed since I was in college back in the 80's.
My point is that the Shoot Again indicator on this machine seems out of place, and it does not appear to be an optical illusion from a viewing perspective. Why would the spherical ball not also...
I understand how perspective can alter the shape of an object, but I still think that something is odd about the Shoot Again indicator with MM. In relation to all other circular objects on the table, only the Shoot Again circle appears to be stretched unnaturally.
Even with an extreme angle...
I'm envisioning something similar to how I run Future Pinball, with a second monitor used to display the functioning backglass of the machine. Would this replace the need to use the in-game HUD?
My wired Xbox 360 controller works fine with no issues to report. Maybe a file got corrupted? I would try Steam's file integrity scan, and as a last resort you might want to re-install the entire game.
The analog nudge is great, as is the rumble feature of the pad. Prefer this over keyboard...
Is it possible that you may have disabled vsync in either the game settings or with your video card settings for this game? Use FRAPS, which is free, to monitor the fps to make sure the game is synced to your monitor's refresh rate. Seems to be a likely candidate to me.
I'm all for centering the playfield after seeing it in action. However, if the flippers could be centered while including the entire playfield on the screen, that might be ok, too. I like the idea of having the flippers centered, but not at the expense of having the playfield shifted so...
You can rotate an LED TV 90 degrees (techincally even 270 degrees also) and use it with portrait mode without any problems. As long the TV is allowed to ventilate properly, you should not have any problems.
