That's a good point, but the problem here is with the art department organization. I referred to it as an "easy fix" because one would assume that any art team worth their weight in beans would have the .psd source files for all the textures in the game and therefore they could export this...
While it's true that the store delays suck, stuff like the sound issue fix being delayed isn't Sony's fault. Farsight hasn't even submitted a patch to fix it yet. :/ (and let's be honest, the game never should've launched with such a glaring issue)...so I can understand Daniel's frustration, but...
From Facebook:
"We're still adding all the new content, testing it, and getting it ready for submission, it's going to be a little while."
So contrary to the newsletter, it has NOT been submitted yet.
Ha, well I got a response rather quickly:
"The good news is that it's essentially done. That was the basis for the Xbox One rendering tech. We just need (the time and the person) to implement that new code into the PC/Steam build. :)"
I emailed back asking if there's an ETA on that, but...
heh, yeah but when it's like the background for the game it seems like it would be sort of a priority...and they have a higher texture in the PS4 version so it's not like they have to make a new one or anything.
