Dude, any texture in a video game is noticeable if it's low res, and it would take like 2 seconds to swap the texture....if the art department would actually supply one that is!
Hehe, I hear ya! The legend is not so much whether or not the burial actually happened, but what exactly was buried, and specifically in regards to the E.T. cartridges.
I remember reading up on it around 10 years ago and there were various rumors surrounding it even then, mainly about the E.T. cartridges, so what exactly was buried has been an urban legend of sorts for quite awhile, and a running gag on the interwebs.
It's also funny that the Snopes entry...
Because it was considered to be more of a rumor than truth, at least in regards to what exactly was dumped, so it became something of an urban legend.
From Wikipedia:
"Since the burial was first reported in the press, there have been doubts as to its veracity and scope, leading to a minority...
Yeah, I could see that with Sorcerer's Lair, although they'd have to get a bit creative with things, such as the giant tree bending over and stuff like that. It'd be pretty fun in real life actually.
Rocky and Bullwinkle is pretty basic since it's practically a replica of an 80's pin, so it...
The forum wasn't created because of annoying people. It was created because having on-going discussions on Facebook is difficult since the posts get buried after a day or so. It wasn't an "us vs. them" mentality because we were the same people on both. Lately it seems there's a handful of the...
That's a fantastic story, brakel!
PHOF is actually the only place I've been to in Vegas. Hoping to make another pit stop again this summer on the way back to Michigan for a visit, if all goes according to plan.
I think Rockey and Bullwinkle is actually the most realistic. It doesn't have any ghosts or other weird things dancing around. The playfield layout is actually almost a mirror image of the real Sorcerer pinball machine. Also, it's actually quite hard. I think my high score is only around 15...
I want shag carpet! :)
It actually would be cool if Farsight allowed us to change the texture ourselves. It wouldn't have to be an in-game option or anything. Back when the first PSP was the bee's knees, I coded a homebrew app and I made it so the users could swap out the background of the app...
I know it's been requested before but...Since PC doesn't have file size limitations, is there any chance we could get a higher res floor texture? I know it doesn't directly affect gameplay, but it is on screen quite a bit and it would really help to polish the game up...plus it doesn't seem...
