In Farfalla, I hit it halfway up the ramp, and the ball came down to the main playfield. The top flippers were enabled, and the bottom flippers weren't. So I couldn't only watch as the ball drained right in the middle.
Edit: Err, umm… what he said.
Some quick observations:
- if your plunge doesn't get the ball into the playing field, it's auto plunged sometimes.
- A lot of the camera views are unplayable in portrait on an iPhone 5. In lots of views, you can't see the outlanes, so it's impossible to use the outlane flippers. Some seem to...
It'll have to play back using the same engine, and using the same assets. There will be overlap here, if all these things are going to be preserved to support older replays. There will surely be redundancy.
But even with all of this stuff, it'll still be much more efficient than encoding...
Isn’t this the point of in-engine playback? We’re not suggesting that these videos should be recreated for YouTube here. Traditional videos would be terribly inefficient for something like this. I just want to be able to play back “replays” from within the actual game. I want to see stuff that’s...
To record an iOS device, you can use something like Reflector or AirServer. (Reflector is available on OS X, and Airserver is available on OS X and on Windows.) These apps will receive iOS mirroring just like an Apple TV would, and you can record this footage using any standard screen recording...
Where did the whole $0.99 per table thing come from? Outside of the very first table, everything has been at least $1.99, even on mobile. Am I missing something here?
Here's another image showing this rotation bug. I haven't rotated the screenshot, this is how it was captured. Also, look at the handle for Notification Center at the top.
The images I posted are from an iPhone 5, but I just checked, and this rotation bug also exists on my iPad 2.
On the iPad, it's less of an issue. But seriously, on an iPhone, this menu is unusable in landscape mode. The touch targets are tiny.
There are some pretty obvious problems with the landscape support:
Here, by adjusting the volume, we can see that the system still thinks that we’re in portrait mode.
Also, the options menu is kind of a mess when you’re holding your device horizontally. It’s pretty unusable:
Unless...
I’m hearing lots of good things from the developers here. Who knows if they’ll be able to deliver, but I’m feeling pretty optimistic, so I just purchased me some gold. I’ve noticed a few more things:
In Devil Riders, I hit a ball up the right-side ramp, and I heard the voice sample saying...
Notes about “Age of Pinballs”
(Sorry to post generic A.S.K.-related comments here. This doesn’t really have anything to do with Zaccaria Pinball. Perhaps night is right and we need a whole A.S.K. subforum.)
@Zsolt Do you have something more formal that you’re using for bug tracking and feature...
First of all, I’d like to reiterate what everyone has been saying. I’m glad that Zsolt is participating in the forum here, and I’m really excited by some of these upcoming improvements. I’m looking forward to playing a bunch of new tables, and I’m pretty close to pulling the trigger on the Gold...
Agreed, and I’m glad to see this. Hopefully, these improvements will eventually find their way into some of their other collections, too. And going forward, they should probably get a bunch of really detail-oriented pinball fanatics to help them with their beta testing. If they're really trying...
App Store
Official Site
If you're compelled to buy everything even remotely pinball related, Dream Pinball 3D was just discounted. It's usually $3.99, and it was previously discounted to $2.99. But it just went on sale for $0.99.
This is an older collection, so temper your expectations. It...
This video also shows us that A.S.K. needs to animate the pop bumpers a bit. In the actual video, we can see them moving when they fire, but in the app, they're kind of lifeless.
It’s certainly possible, somewhere. Look at their trailer on YouTube. Each of the tables are shown there in landscape orientation.
Perhaps someone from A.S.K. can elaborate on this. They should be showing up soon. I invited them with a quick Facebook message, and they replied:
