Zaccaria Pinball notes
It’s always a little sad to see an app discounted this quickly, but hopefully this move will help this app to find a wider audience. Also, I’m glad that “night” seems to have turned around the mood around here. Pretty early on, everyone was being pretty unforgiving, but...
Yeah, I think so. I’m not trying to step on his toes, or anything. I just saw the comment about Valve, and I wanted to read this for myself, in context.
Ideally, if we all chip in and post here what we find, with links, it'd probably make his job a hell of a lot easier. Instead of having to...
What do you say we try to get all of the news-worthy Facebook exchanges into this thread? I’ll start with the posts from the last couple of days that have gotten responses:

With a head tracker and a mod like this, think about playing something like T2 on a cabinet. You could swing over to the right side of the cabinet when firing the cannon, and the perspective would instantly change and help you line up your shot. Move back into your playing position, and you'd be...
“night” obviously didn't get the memo. The hive mind has already decided that there’s nothing to like here.
But I agree with him. This isn't my favorite pinball app, but it's definitely worth having.
One week down, three-ish to go. I'm starting to get excited. Is there anything you can share with us yet, to whet our appetites? It’d be great to see what’s coming, and I’d love to get the hype machine started.
Check out this video , from the Texas Pinball Festival. Jump to around the nine minute mark. Looks to me like there’s an iCade at the Farsight booth. Is this the "something new on iPad" that they promised?
I have every table for the PS3. I’ll likely get the PS4, and I’m going to want to get all of the tables there, too. But if I have to pay full price to double dip on each of these tables, I’m not going to be buying any of the tables for the PS3 anymore. That’s an easy decision, especially since...
Ah. Sweet. Apple is featuring pinball apps on the App Store. There’s a whole section for “Portable Pinball”. Very cool.
Finally, perhaps Rob-O-Bot will finally catch a break, and it’ll get the truckloads of money that it deserves. There are seventeen apps listed, surely it’ll be there.
Let’s...
Not-So-Humble Brag
Oddly quiet in here, for sure. That’s too bad. I’m still really enjoying this game, much more than anything else in the App Store.
And in news that’s perhaps only interesting to me, I finally finished the fifth mission a little while back. Never before have I had to work so...
Still no love from the usually pinball-friendly Touch Arcade, for whatever reason, but at least some in the gaming press are starting to take notice. Published today, there's a pretty glowing review up on 148Apps.
Anders touched on this at Pinside:
Anders can speak to this with some authority, but my guess is that the latter consoles kind of depend on how well this does on iOS and Android. I've got my fingers crossed, though, because I'd love to break out the ole Gameboy.
First, you'll need to purchase the new Pro Mode. Currently, this is a $3.99 in-app purchase.
Select "Table Menu"
Select "Pro Menu"
Enable "Operator Mode"
Select "Open Coin Door"
Press "Enter" for test report
From the main menu, use the red buttons to navigate to "A. Adjustments", then press...
Rob-O-Bot is better than Twilight Zone. There, I said it.
The new Twilight Zone table just came out for Pinball Arcade, and unsurprisingly, it’s pretty great. What is surprising, though, is that after only one game, I immediately went back to playing Rob-O-Bot.
Rob-O-Bot is a good table...
Camera Angle for the T2 Cannon
Glad to hear that this one’s coming, this used to be my favorite table. I especially liked the cannon in the game.
When I used to play this table, I’d move to the left, to the side and behind the cannon, so I could line up my shot. My aim was pretty good...
It’s no Rob-O-Bot, but the iPhone version is currently free. It’s not a traditional pinball game, either. Instead, you’re firing at blocks on the playfield, for points. I haven’t played it much, but there’s apparently 70 levels.
As usual, the typical A.S.K. in-app nonsense is tacked on. You can...
