After completing all the new Williams Pinball tables (Monsters and Vol 5) to four stars, I have actually gone back to TPA for casual play. I definitely can't bring myself to play any of the tables that are now in Williams, but they suffer both from having been done better by Zen and also being...
I'm finding No Good Gophers (on Android) to be really difficult. Really hard to maintain ball control, hard to see the ball coming down the right orbit to time the cross-shot, and just generally unforgiving in every way. That is to say, it plays like real life. I actually like that it's this...
I love Centaur and EBD both in TPA. Got a chance to play EBD in real life a few times and while the TPA version was different, it was probably equally challenging and a lot of fun.
TPA honestly did a really good job in general with this era of games, especially later in the TPA run (Eight Ball...
First impressions on Android - I am playing these in the time-limited challenge
CV: so much nicer and more realistic than TPA version. The shots feel good, and the outlanes are not horribly unfair. It seems like the Sideshow is not randomized, it has always started with "popcorn mania" - this...
The idea that Zen could make DMDs for alphanumeric tables is something I hadn't thought of before. They have plenty of experience and expertise making DMD displays from scratch. It could be a feature that goes along with the graphical enhancements to turn on and off. They could even add a DMD to...
I'd say first priority for what I would like to see are any that weren't done in TPA. But after that, looking at this list, the ones that WERE done in TPA that I would like to see in Zen:
Terminator 2 - TPA's version was early and still feels very floaty, it would be great to have a Zen...
Re: the fact that you can't earn parts for the new tables in the normal daily challenges - does anyone remember when this changed in the last release? I recall it being set up this way for the first few weeks after release, to encourage people to buy the unlocks or dump a bunch of coins into...
I like your strategy too. The hardest monster mode for me to "finish" is Bride, it's six shots to those narrow (and steep on the left) ramps, so I definitely try to have that one running during a multiball. It's also nice to have Dracula running during multiball since the return from bash shots...
Well I definitely don't want to lose the Williams Pinball Android app - I'm definitely loving the (limited) time I have been able to spend playing Monster Bash, the table implementations are fantastic.
The main problem since day one has been apparent lack of planning, communication and...
To be fair, it does show two stars on the "special offer" image - but it is definitely unclear what that means, especially for folks new to the currency/upgrade system. The fact that they have sold full 4-star versions in the past means that at a MINIMUM there should have been a...
Absolutely - honestly, I know it's been proposed before, but just put up an "official" web page on the public website that has the "legacy leaderboards pre-version xyz" and pull over the top 10, 20, 100 whatever. That should be a lot less work.than supporting multiple leaderboards in-app.
I have played both in real life, and CftBL is murderously difficult in real life (as noted by others above) while the TPA version was one of the easier tables in the entire collection - it suffered a lot from being a Season 1 release and having one of the most egregious and unrealistic vacuum...
Just got an update to the Williams Pinball app on Android, with "stability improvements" and "minor bug fixes" - could this be a platform update in preparation for release of the next table pack?
I have accumulated 475 coins waiting for this pack to be released, I'm ready to go!
Whatever the "deluxe" versions are, I am sure they will be cool - both the retro and remakes have been completely different than the original tables, and all of them are fun; some (especially some of the remakes) are really top notch. I'm super happy they are continuing to develop new content...
I am really loving this release, I bought the Gold pack and quest mode.
So many play modes, so many tables, with some really fun/interesting twists and rules. If you like SS and EM tables, this is a treasure trove - drop targets and spinners galore. The physics are good, and the game looks...
I agree - although the best to continue with SS/EMs would be Farsight. Since Zen Williams came out, I don't play DMD tables in TPA anymore, but I love going back and playing Fathom, Jacks Open, Cenaur, etc. - Farsight got to a really sweet spot by the time they hit Season 4 where the SS/EMs were...
Does anyone have a list/link to the bugs that were fixed in the most recent Android update (August 7 2019)? I have noticed a few things:
1. Tower ramp in Medieval Madness is WAY easier to shoot now - they must have reduced the steepness or done some other kind of tuning
2. In Theatre of Magic...
