I played it for an hour or two when I found it somewhere a while back and couldn't figure it out either. And it drained as hell.
But overall I found it to be a pretty funny and entertaining table with lots of neat stuff going on. Enjoyed those three contestants and their banter in particular...
I'm pleasantly by this one... and I expect it to return to it every once and then in the future. (Something which I can't say about the last few releases. They might have been alright, but nevertheless pretty shallow games that get boring rather quickly.) The rules are surprisingly deep and easy...
It's an alright table, I guess. But really, this extra flipper issue that's been plaguing the game since day one (which would be frickin' two years) finally needs to be resolved. In 6 out of 10 times the ball either goes right through the flipper or acts as if it's been tipped by a feather. I...
Another suggestion: High scores should count for the leaderboards and table goals should get ticked off.
When I played the Gottlieb/Stern challenge and came to Big Shot I had this crazy thought: "You know what? This will be the one time in which I finally get past the 250.000 points, and...
Hmm, is it really an easy game? Dunno. I mean, I had a couple of great scores, but that's more because of mere "flipping around" than thanks to deliberate aiming and hitting targets. As already noted in this thread, the flippers are really slippery. Basically you're just flipping to keep the...
No idea if this has already been answered (at least I couldn't find anything with the forum search), but why exactly isn't there a "save state" for the tables? In the PHOF series they had one, uncollected jackpots carried over and so on, but in TPA everything resets once you leave the game -...
Yeah, exactly. Whenever the singing comes in I expect a He-Man figure to pop up somewhere on this table any minute. :D
So why wasn't there a Black Knight 2000 cartoon series with a toy line? ;)
I don't get it.
I mean, Apple is selling season passes for TV shows right left and center, sometimes even before the first episode actually still has to air. But it doesn't apply for the games?
Weird.
From the little I've seen and played so far I really like it. :) So so much better and more fun than the original!
I lost a ball though when the music went into full lyrics mode because it made me laugh so much. It sounds like a theme tune to an 80s cartoon show that was produced to sell a toy...
Yeah, was wondering about that as well. Been looking everywhere, but I can't find it.
No one else seems to have pick up on it so far though. Probably because everyone was quick to click those messages away to play Black Knight as quickly as possible. lol
I've had something very similar with Big Shot. At 249.600 the table would suddenly tilt and I was on my very last ball. And I never came close ever since. :-/
As for Genie... the best I could ever get out of it was something like 1,9 million. Every now and then I give that wizard goal a try...
I don't find acquiring the whirlpool extra ball too hard, I can get it two out of three times. More or less.
That Double Broadside Wizard Goal on the other hand... Sheesh, that one is tough. Best I ever got was 16 million.
At the end of every third (if not even second) game the game starts anew right away, sometimes even with 3 players! And I can't exit, I have to let all the balls drain until I'm finally back in the menu. (And of course it has to happen with a table that has a highly tolerable ball save, just to...
Yeah, I noticed that too. Sometimes I'd get an extra ball... sometimes not. It's weird.
But anyway @specials not rewarding an extra ball anymore: I get the thinking behind this and it probably isn't even a bad thing. However, now I really don't see the point in going after these anymore. Well...
Exactly. Note all those "I've been playing this table for so long now and I still don't improve!"- and "I got my best score when I was just flipping around randomly."-posts. Until now there was something about the flippers that felt very inaccurate. It was like the ball was still rolling a bit...
And with it a lot of other problems. When a ball drains the table doesn't wait for a music to finish anymore until it finally moves on to counting the bonus and the kickout next to LIE has been fixed. Other issues like the random award that always spits out an extra ball the first time you...
I don't find that event being exclusive to just "Big Shot", however. It's happening on all the other tables as well. For a fraction of a milisecond I see the ball touching the flipper, I feel the gamepad rumbling! There's definitely a collision happening! But still the ball drains through the...
Strange. I thought I wrote a reply to this thread but it's not there. I guess I actually was writing one and then I got distracted or something. Anyway, here I go - a bit later than intended.
I've never really noticed until more recently, when the game was released on Steam, I think...
Seems like being a pinball wizard isn't enough then. One needs to be a bloody archmage. For a standard goal! Grrr.
Okay, if that's what I got to do then this is what I got to do. ;)
Hm, it doesn't seem to work for me, but perhaps I'm doing it wrong? Anybody here who wants to show it in a video? :)
(But anyway, I've been trying this for hours... and for some odd reason I had to think of Harlem Multiball all the time. I wonder why. ;) )
