The original artwork is great. The geometry is well done. But the lighting?
There is a glare effect on the lamps but no hint of lighting on the playfield surface.
No shadows, no highlights. The glare doesn't make sense that way.
It would only take a few hours to fix the playfield texture...
Zsolt, what I would like to see is a more differentiated slingshot response/sensitivity. The current state seems to be very uniform, but on a real game there is a sensitivity/force gradient, where the middle region of the slingshot is more powerful and more sensitive while the outer regions show...
Oh, fvcx! I always used the up/down arrows to navigate the menu, and it always opened the EULA page in Safari once the EULA option came into view.
Thank you, i found it by touch-scrolling! :)
Probably a stupid question:
How do I turn on iCade support? Is there a menu item somewhere? My iCade works with all other apps (Mame, Jeff Minter games, Zaccaria), but PBA ignores the iCade.
(iPad 1, iCade core, PBA 126, including Space Shuttle)
Sorry, this is just a minor detail, but your screenshot looks like it's not fixed :p
I made a little illustration to ... illustrate what I'm talking about:
Oh, and BTW, I hope this app earns a WWDC Design award and/or a slot in Apples TV commercials. You guys certainly deserve it.
Version 1.1 (I think)
in 'Dark Environment' mode, the backglass looks like a fuse is blown.
It looks like I forgot to pay the utility bills. (What would my neighbors think of me)
Not a game breaker, but...
Great work, ASK Homework!
The only thing missing right now is iPad1 support.
Playing Zaccaria Pinball on iPad1 is very challenging, my highest score on Time Machine is around 200.000. But most of the time the ball passes through the flippers or drains trough the cabinet to show off the nice...
I hope they make it not as bouncy as in TPA. (Ball bouncing off the flippers when coming through the inlane, for example)
Their previous games had pretty good ball spin which added some nice surprises during the otherwise rather stale gaming experience.
Is this still noticeable in the new game?
Zaccaria Pinball for iOS(not for iPad 1 or iPhone 4) was made available today. The screenshots look pretty good and they say they have licensed all Zaccaria machines.
Since I have only an iPad 1, I'm curious if someone has already tried the app and if it's as good as it looks.
I wish I had an iPad 360.
CP looks a little unreal. The playfield surface and the flippers etc. seem to be located in different dimensions. The lighting is inconsistent.
CC has glowing flippers. Why?
I haven't tested this on other platforms, but on my device (iPad1/iOS51) the ball skins appear to be totally out of sync. (the texture moves at 1/2 the speed of the ball's rotation)
Is this a device dependent quirk or a conceptual error? Are inaccurate game physics degrading our already heavily...
