They shouldn't have to offer two different models though, it's all in the software. The reason that I have faith in Microsoft's consoles over Sony's is that Microsoft has always been a software company while Sony has made their living being a hardware company. Xbox live was down yesterday but...
OK, well what if they build some functionality into the OS so that the overlays, switching, snap, Skype, etc. work and so that you can use an Xbox One controller to play 360 games. Not saying that they will do any of that, but to me that's basically backwards compatibility and something I would...
Here's an interview Major Nelson did with Reddit with some good question
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2lMhjM9BK7M
Unfotunately, the interviewer doesn't really follow up on anything, so although the questions are the right questions, the answers are incomplete at best.
The one thing that...
I agree Pin Wiz. There has to be SOMETHING that they can do to show that they are losing money here and that Crave hasn't held up their end of the bargain.
Mike, are you allowed to answer whether The Pinball Arcade is planned for the Xbox One? I think it looks great on the PS4 and would love to have it on Microsoft's next console
Any word from Farsight as to whether they plan to bring TPA to the XBox One? I hope that the legal issues with Crave and the 360 don't have anything to do with their ability to publish it there.
That remains to be seen on Sony's DRM policy IMO. I just can't believe that Microsoft would come up with this whole DRM scheme on their own without there being some push from the publishers. They have absolutely nothing to gain off of it except maybe more third party confidence and favoritism...
I totally agree that Microsoft completely blew their messaging on many aspects of the Xbox One. Seems like they made the mistake of being honest on some things and now they're taking the beating for it. I'll be surprised if Sony doesn't back track even more on some of the things they got...
They've already said that your family will be able to share your one XBox live account which is an improvement over what the situation is now. Guess it's just vogue to hate on MS right now while Sony skates by on adding pay-to-play mulitplayer.
I find it hilarious that PS3 users always touted the free online service for PS3 as a big deal and how evil MS was for having a paid service for online. Now that they have PS+ and have confirmed that you have to pay to play online with the PS4, they say it was necessary.
Plus Sony...
I'd love to see all of them and will buy all of them. Sad to see Cyclone hanging around in the middle of the results. That's one of the tables I'd like to see the most.
I was afraid that this might be the case. I'd be nice if Farsight could clarify this. Not having the possibility of TPA being on XBox One would definitely be a bummer.
I had a great time when I was able to make it up there last year. All of the machines are in great condition. I do find that I blow through tokens pretty quickly there since I'm pretty terrible at real pinball, but the nice thing is that all of the arcade games are just a quarter so you can...
Well said Karl - that's the exact impression that I was trying to get across. Until I see otherwise, I'll keep thinking that their E3 presentation will show all the people complaining about the lack of games what they want to see. The argument about Kinect and all of the non-gaming features...
So for all of you complaining that this is an "everything" machine, do you think that it won't still play games? MS has repeatedly said that the E3 presentation in 18 days will be all about upcoming games, but everyone is choosing to ignore that. If it still plays great looking games, why does...
Man, I couldn't disagree more with that statement. The only Sony games that I would love to have the ability to play are the Uncharted games and Heavy Rain. Nothing else that they have interests me in the slightest.
Poorly redesigned controller? They've taken the 360 controller, which is widely considered to be one of the best controllers ever made and addressed the major complaints about it, namely the poor d-pad, and made some overall improvements.
Oh well, guess I'm in the minority about being much...
