I was actually quite impressed with what they showed. People are complaining about the lack of games shown, but leading up to this event they have been saying that the reveal was going to be in two parts: This one, which would be focused on the machine itself, and the E3 presentation which will...
Guess I'm one of the few here, but I'm really excited to see what MS has in store for the next Xbox. Just hope they really concentrate on making the downloadable game process more friendly for developers. Less than 10 minutes to the reveal!
I don't think that Farsight knows when the case is going to clear bankruptcy court, so they can't give us a date. I agree that it's very frustrating (for both us and Farsight!) and it would be nice if we could find out where everything stands right now.
We definitely appreciate it Ryan! Looking forward to seeing what this season pass is all about. I've only purchased some of the earlier tables on Android since I own everything that's out on the 360 and I was still holding out hope that it would eventually catch up to the mobile devices. This...
Seems like you made a great decision to me. $500 for a modernish pinball machine that you can use to see if you enjoy working on/maintaining them? That, plus the fun your kids seem to be having with it make it a no-brainer!
Do any forum members have any real-world knowledge of how the courts work with bankruptcy assets? I'm just trying to see if there is any way to get an idea of a time frame for the courts to make a decision on Crave's assets. Everything looked so hopeful back at the beginning of this year, but...
Exactly what I'm thinking. Unfortunately it might not be until the next XBox (if I decide to pick it up) that I finally get to play the tables on a big screen with proper nudge.
I only wish we could know more about the process of getting the asset through the bankruptcy court. Seems like that's the only realistic way we could know if we're ever going to see TPA re-emerge on the 360 or not. It definitely is a bummer seeing all the excitement about these new and...
This is exact thought process I ended up going through, with Seawitch also coming close. Loved the art on both Catacomb and Seawitch but Flight 2000 just looked like it had cool things to do on the table.
Having not played any of them it was a tough choice!
Great work Ryan! Thanks for taking feedback and attempting to address all of everyone's concerns! I just gave Whitewater a few playthroughs and it felt great - nice and fast. Excellent job on these!
As an aside, the sound that plays when the ball is kicked out to the top area is the same...
I've brought up Pinball Circus before. Would LOVE to see it come to PBA and would gladly kickstart it if necessary, although I don't think it actually would be if Farsight could work out some kind of arrangement with the PHOF.
I backed and chose 360 for my reward too. I plan on waiting it out as well. Hopefully they'll be a resolution before the next XBox comes out, because I'll most likely rather play the tables there once they're released.
I'm with you Jake, and in pretty much the same situation. No interest in buying a PS3, and even when the PC version comes out, I don't think my old beast will handle it, although if the cabinet functionality ends up being the real deal I might think of doing a cabinet build.
I do have an...
Great writeup - nice job Russell! That video is great too, but such a tease. You can see a few times where you can see Farsight's booth in the background but then the camera veers away!
Why is everyone assuming that the new XBox will not have backwards compatibility? As far as I know Microsoft hasn't made any announcements of any kind regarding the new XBox. It may very well be the case that they won't support it (although I hope they would have some solution, especially in...
