It's interesting to note the observation about the ball rebound off the rubber. I tried playing a Zen Williams table and realized that's one of the elements that throws me. It sometimes feels like it's a rock, not a pinball. Some of the bounces just feel dead.
To me, it plays a bit better than...
This all makes me wonder if the TPA/Stern app had anything to do with losing the Williams license. Did it contribute to it, or was it in response to them knowing they'd lose it? I still want to support TPA as I'm unimpressed with Zen, but for TPA to sit on their hands and not fix the niggling...
And that's where I fall. I have almost all of these tables on TPA, and they're fine, but not favorites. Limiting me to one table definitely ensures I won't play much to start. I just can't play the same table over and over, and these artificial caps on score and time kill the pinball experience...
I'm curious as to how this will play out for Zen/Williams. Whereas TPA was pretty straightforward, Zen is using a very complicated system that will see a lot of grinders, and some mini purchases, but I doubt they'll have the table sales TPA did.

Wow. I completely forgot it was based on a movie. I don't believe there are any tie ins besides the name and overall them, so maybe that makes it feasible.
Still.. excellent point! Damn. It was always a favorite.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they had to restructure after losing the Williams license. At least tournaments have come back.
I wasn't a fan of BBH and haven't bought a table in a while. Some great old tables have been mentioned here, and I'm still hoping to see Meteor. It's right up there...
I also got that message on the last day or two of the tournament. Yesterday there was no error, and they had final standings available.

So I've played medieval madness on the Williams app and on my iPad.
In terms of lighting, Zen wins hands down. Their tables look beautiful.
In terms of that particular example, I'm just not seeing it. Your observation about how the ball acts in TPA is correct, but not unrealistic. There are a...
I'll check that out.
On TPAs side, I like that when a ball exits some ramps it doesn't always come out the same way. Sometimes it's smooth and sometimes it catches the edge for some extra spin.
I've also noticed on older tables with kickout holes, the ball doesn't always take the same path...
That's a very interesting observation! I really appreciate that.
As arcade pinball tables they are fancy and flashy and well done. You have me craving a real physics zen table, but I probably won't see one with the current setup.
If they release a favorite and make it available for purchase...
I think anything that would at least let you try the real physics would be outstanding. I get their mobile model is going for the cash grab, but the way it's currently structured will alienate a lot of players IMO.
I would love to directly compare a table or two since I own so many on TPA. I...
Too many messages for me to comment on anything specific, but I had to delete the zen Williams app on my iPad. It's unplayable as a pinball sim, and the grind is a ridiculous idea.
I've actually found myself playing TPA even more since the physics are so much better. Having played a number of...
I like a few of the choices I've seen here. When I remember a table, I sometimes watch a video to see if it holds up. I've watched the video for Mata Hari, and that one was great when I was a kid, but when I watch it now, it seems like there's nothing there.
I've seen some videos for some nice...
I personally love these tables for a couple of reasons. The main reason is they are the first add-a-ball machines featured on TPA, I think. I just learned about these types of machines when I watched a video about Spanish eyes.
There are a few bugs I have passed along to the support team that...
