I think I may revert back to the previous version (easy on the Mac if you update through iTunes and don't empty your trash). This "new" UI needs a bunch of work. Sure, I won't be able to play any new tables but at least I won't have to constantly be changing settings endlessly as well as digging...
Already being discussed here: http://digitalpinballfans.com/showthread.php/11622-Thoughts-on-the-new-iOS-interface
For the sake of redundancy, here's what I posted there:
v5.10.2 has been released.
1. Sounds settings, sort settings still don't save.

v5.10.2 has been released.
1. Sounds settings, sort settings still don't save.
2. Table goals (within each table) now have check boxes but no check marks are in place showing the completed goals although completed goals are in color while non-completed goals are black & white.
3. Ball launch...
As it stands now, none of the more important settings "holds". Sound volume settings revert back to default after the app is rerun, I'm speaking mainly of turning down that dreadful Tommy theme every single time I rerun the app...UGH
And why are camera angles *still* (after all these years) not...
I'm getting odd stuttering and performance issues...and this is on an iPad mini 4 (no resource issues on this device). Haven't seen performance issues until this version. The "fix" seems to be to shut down TPA from multitasking, then restart it. Seems to hold then on that session of TPA. Then...
I have recently started checking here before blindly updating TPA...it used to be an "automatic" update. Now, sadly it no longer applies. I'm still on 5.9.0 so no issues other than missing the newest table.
The high score input routine on this particular table is very slow/buggy...are you sure you're actually completing the routine for the table to be saving it?
Hopefully this will be fixed in the next update.
I did all that...nothing worked this time around. I just repurchased BH (and the two other tables I already own) to end this "purchased in the Paid app" vs "purchased in the Free app" nonsense and how they're supposed to sense each other and combine "automagically"...no means of magic worked...
When has an update been released that hasn't had issues?
I lost Black Hole with this new release *again*. It was the only table I purchased under the Free version of the app. All other tables (nearly all of them) were purchased under the Paid version and those were fine, including TAF...
I find the zones immensely useful and use the displayed zone lines. My thumbs tend to wander and slide around while playing, especially during heated multiball. The last thing I want to do is accidentally nudge (and possibly tilt) when flipping. The visible and defined zones make it easy to tell...
It's too bad that Apple needs to "cripple" newer devices for some reason, like artificially minimizing the performance (dropping clock speed, etc.) specs of the new iPad Pro 9.7 to be inconsistent with the iPad Pro 12.9.
After being mentioned initially here, I am now seeing the ball shadow oddness on pretty much all tables. Of note on Cirqus Voltaire, the shadow frequently gets left inside the Ringmaster's hideout (metallic cup he sits in) when he is in the top-most position and a ball is shot into the metallic...
Same here on iOS. Need to disable Wi-Fi on the device or power off the router before running TPA so it cannot access the Farsight server, else the game will crash immediately.
The crash occurs when the Farsight server is accessed while you're connected to the internet...seems like a Farsight...
Good eye...I didn't notice the disappearing speaker panel until reading your post, although I haven't noticed the ball shadow issue you mention. I'm running an iPad mini 4 under iOS 9.2.1
