Heh, when I still lived in Chicago I frequented a place with a TSPP, Nascar, and Starship Troopers. The TSPP and NASCAR were both on the default replay settings (if memory serves, TSPP was 5mil and NASCAR was 12mil) and nobody else with any skill seemed to ever play them, so they were always...
I'm not sure if the Kindle is up to date in this regard, but the latest Android release allows you to reverse the direction of nudging. I realize this only addresses one of your many points, but it's something. :)
Quoted for emphasis. Getting Sixaxis and a PS3 controller was such a huge addition to playing on my tablet. I'm barely even mad about the status of Xbox 360 and PC releases!
Still holding out hope that we'll see at least all DLC released to date make it to the 360, but with yesterday's confirmation that the Xbox 1 won't be backwards compatible, the time is surely going to come when Farsight draws the line for updates for the 360. I really don't see myself buying a...
Looks good Gord. More or less identical to what they use on Pinside.
Occasional confusion can result from false positives, but it's usually worth it.
Now if you'll excuse me, I must head to BK, home of the Whopper.
There's a Vector in pretty great shape at the Pinball Gallery in Downingtown, PA. Very fun game! Lots to do, and really unique approach to inlanes and outlanes.
The questions of cost and having table availability being tied to your login are two big reasons why I would hesitate to be part of a T2 Kickstarter. But even if I do contribute, it'll be for much less. I chipped in at the $100 for both TZ and ST:TNG primarily because it was unclear whether the...
My gut feeling is probably not. But it would certainly be a nice surprise!
I had a chance to play Safe Cracker for the first time in over a decade when I was at the Chicago Expo last fall. Such a great game. I made it to the vault, and kept my fingers crossed that I'd hear that...
Big Hurt is a really great game. One of a few of the criminally overlooked Gottlieb/Premier releases.
I wonder if the licenses (Frank Thomas' Likeness/"Big Hurt" mark, plus Reebok) would be pricey at all. Even if not, I doubt this table has enough wide-spread appeal to show up on TPA's radar...
I've played way more TSPP than AC/DC, so hard for me to judge one over the other, but agreed, TSPP is really a great game.
AC/DC is the only Stern pin to come out in the last 6 years or so that I've really enjoyed. Transformers was OK, but didn't really speak to me. I've not played Iron Man...
On the fence. Would definitely go if no complications, but a friend was thinking of coming into town that weekend, and I haven't seen him in ages, so I'd hate to send him away (and doubt he'd want to come with.)
Yeah I had no idea how brutal Fireball was until I played that one. Outlane city!
They hold a double-elimination tournament on the first Tuesday of every month and I've been to the last two. Finished middle of the pack in March, but had a couple of heartbreakers last week and finished tied for...
Never hit the 7-way on a real Shadow (have only played a few games on a real one since the good old days) but doing it on my virtual cabinet was one of my greater successes on that thing.
POTC is a very underrated table. Really nice progression to the Four Winds Multiball. My only beef with it is that if it's not properly leveled, the return from the ship shot can be a pretty terrible SDTM.
