SST is definitely one of the better Segas, but there's a lot of other games I'd want to see before it. Not sure how they would handle the mini flipper on the right side either.
The nudging mechanism on a pinball simulation is never going to be good enough for a flipperless game to fun IMO. That's not a jab at FS- for me, although I'm not a big fan of flipperless games in general, the enjoyment of playing them is your tactile ability to control the ball via nudging...
From the 30s? No. They are interesting to see in person as part of the larger history of pinball, but would get very old, very quick in digital form. I also think FS would have trouble marketing any flipperless pinball machine. If they are going to put more EMs in TPA, they are probably best off...
I'd imagine the license cost for the likenesses of the actors (Stallone, Sandra Bullock) even if they aren't A-listers would probably be too much for TPA to do it as a regular table and the popularity wouldn't be there to do it as a kickstarter. I wouldn't mind being wrong though.
Is stuff like the reversed slingshots on TZ really that bothersome for people? I don't mean that in a snarky or sarcastic way, its hard to convey inflection through typing. I was a real pinball player long before I got into TPA and that sort of thing still doesn't irk me for some reason...
I think No Fear is still a license these days. Obviously that companies heyday was in the 90s, but a quick google search shows that it's still around. Flash is another unlicensed Ritchie game that has the potential to end up in TPA (pure speculation). Other than that I think they are all...
It's possible this person misspoke or game informer relayed the information wrong. I would be very surprised if we saw a Stern production game on TPA anytime soon, if ever.
First impression- plays great! It's very fast which is essential for making this game fun and the upper ramp shot wasn't toned down to be way too easy. It just feels right as compared to a real BK2K. Also one of the best pinball soundtracks of all time.
I love most of Barry Oursler's designs, but the rules on Cyclone just kill it for me. Hoping for HS or HS2 out of the reasonable table options coming up.
It used to happen a lot more frequently than it does now it seems. FS removes obviously hacked scores, but you have to wonder how many scores in general that aren't inflated or have an anti-TPA pun in their name go unnoticed.
