That's a good point I haven't thought of, but still, the resulting ball speed and slightly increased difficulty the ball has making it up to the bank shot area feels more accurate. On the other hand, I think the flipper angles for making catches are rather higher than they should be. Rectifying...
This build of CBW feels a lot better.
The only thing that could still be improved imo is how fast the cue ball moves back toward the center. At 2:45 in the video Jared posted you can see what I'm talking about. The idea should roughly be that you knock the cue ball out of the center area and...
I was actually just watching the same video. It does a great job illustrating how slow and weighty the cue ball can behave. It also shows what a pain in the ass getting the ramp can be at times.
Thanks Ryan. I'd like to offer some feedback on CBW.
I have a local CBW that I get to play a fair amount during the summers and the flippers feel too powerful to me. For starters, the ramp should be harder to make it up, and I've had several instances so far where the ball has deflected off...
Yeah, random scoring that outstrips what can be earned through normal methods skews the sense of accomplishment on a table, but I suppose I find the cue ball in the playfield to be a novel mechanic. I also think the ease with which one can get high scores and multi-ball makes it a good beginner...
I know I may not be in the majority in this thread, but I'm really looking forward to CBW. I get to play one locally from time to time in my hometown. I just hope they make the ramp shot a little on the difficult side of things.
Yep. Post processing is on in both screenshots. Just to test it out after you mentioned it, I turned post processing off and changed back over to 1440x900. The issue disappears. Must be the post processing bug Klopek mentioned. I hadn't read about it before.
Of course, without post processing...
Not sure if this has been brought up before, but I'm getting inconsistent performance in terms of resolution smoothness. Does Pinball Arcade simply not like the 16:10 aspect ratio?

Once you access the purchase menu for a table, hitting escape should close the menu. Instead it simply activates whichever button is currently highlighted.

I played a T2 extensively last week.
For me, the flippers feel like they have too much reach toward the center and the ball should bounce more toward the center when catching it from one of the orbits. The flippers are a little on the strong side compared to the real table. These issues are...
That's a very good point. I think the fact that Farsight is prepared to tackle an original design is a testament to the confidence they now have when it comes to tuning the physics of machines.
