I would normally recommend that you start backing up the app (to have an older version to revert to in case of issues) before updating & replacing it with the "newest" & "greatest" but I doubt that you'd want a backup of 3.3.1.
Maybe start with the NEXT version...
Going by the reports, it seems as though the latest TPA update 3.3.1 is more at fault than the iOS update. Others have reported the performance decrease after installing TPA 3.3.1 while under the same iOS version. I have personally reverted back to TPA 3.3.0 (on iPad mini 1st gen) and the...
Same here on the iPad mini 1st gen with the wire ramp circular rings but I believe this is the lower LOD (level of detail) graphics/textures that are used with the less-capable devices.
As a data point, the low detail wire ramp rings are also present on TPA v3.3.0 (which I still have on my mini...
No problem, buddy. I've always kept previous versions of apps/software due to my beta testing background. I realize though that not everyone does this. Also, it may sound a lot more complicated in my description of the steps involved to revert to a past version. In reality, it's actually pretty...
If you've connected the iPad to the Mac with 3.3.1 and synced/transferred purchases with the iPad connected recently, the version in your iTunes Library will be at 3.3.1. Updating apps/transferring purchases/syncing will put the previous version in the trash. It may still be there...in the...
Device/OS: iPad mini (1st gen), iOS 7.0.6
Bug Description: Stuttering/performance issues on Black Knight 2000 and Whirlwind (especially) under TPA v3.3.1. Did NOT test any other tables.
Steps To Reproduce: install TPA v3.3.1, run the game.
Frequency: Always
Additional Comments: Reverting...
Same frame rate decrease on iPad mini (NOT the retina which does not have these issues) on BK2K and especially Whirlwind (which was ALWAYS strangely susceptible to performance issues). I did some testing and here's what I found...TPA v3.3.0 runs both of these tables just fine with *very minor*...
I think the main issue is why the new update now causes stuttering while the previous version does not. If everyone had the means to run out and buy a new iPad when their favorite app performs worse because of an update (either on the app developers end or Apple themselves with iOS updates)...
I listen to only the table and it's sounds. Being a long-time rock musician (since the early 1980's), I grew accustomed to *always* wearing earplugs while playing in the bands. At my real job (in a noisy environment), I wear earplugs. At home when I sleep, I wear earplugs. Instead of losing my...
I detest that yellow smiley ball. The only ball I've tried that gives more visibility without be too cartoony on BK2K is the zebra pattern ball. Give it a try if you haven't yet.
I keep both versions (paid & free) installed but I don't keep any of the tables installed on the free version (no point in having duplicates on both the paid & free apps). Remember that your purchased tables are tied to the version (paid or free) through which you purchased them. For example, in...
For the pinball tables? You can't. What the game provides is as good as we're going to get. I mentioned this previously but I believe that the sound quality is likely not very high on the list for TPA. The goal is to the the ball physics, motion and gameplay running at top performance. Upping...
I would just stick with the Apple brand cables. Try to purchase at retail like the Apple Store or Best Buy. They're guaranteed for one year and if you see any flakiness or get a defective cable, the Apple Store will replace it on the spot, even if you didn't buy it from an Apple Store. Also...
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Zaccaria tables are software only tables (I really do not know since I've never used the app), like Zen's which are created within the software realm and are not recreations nor emulations of actual tables. Maybe that's where the issue with TPA's...
It could be just the nature of TPA's emulation probably taking alot more CPU than the other apps you mentioned which I doubt are emulations of anything. Hardware Emulation is known to take alot of CPU so rather than having the ball/table/movement and other more necessary things suffer, they've...
So what exactly is/was the change made to the app regarding the Season 3 issue which caused the one week delay? I didn't purchase Season 3 (and likely won't be) but did purchase the Black Rose table.
I have devices on both iOS 6 & iOS 7 with the same issue on both iOS versions. Here's what I did. I ran the FREE version which seemed to work OK and would let you download/purchase/play the demo table. I didn't want to purchase using the FREE version since I did that with one table (Black Hole)...
I have too much invested in iOS (4 iPads, 3 iPhones) and the App Store to just jump ship to Android. I like Apple products but as of late, buggy code (iOS 7, I'm taking to YOU), bad hardware (especially iPads with inconsistent display panels) and just an overall feeling of not getting the best...
