I tried a few games last night and the table seemed to be about the same, if only a little bit harder. More game time is needed...but it's still a butt kicker.
I've yet to play the updated TZ without "the barrier"...I have enough trouble with this table already so I hope the change doesn't sour my view of the table even more. Yes, I do realize it's now more "authentic".
I'll always try both tables when included in a pack and most times, one table stands out while the other is a sleeper. Sometimes what you thought was a sleeper is actually better than the one you initially liked more. I'm usually pretty happy with the packs but don't feel that they should be a...
I like all the tables (that I own, which are not all) in their own way. HD, I really dislike so I did not buy it. I also don't care for any of the Elvira tables since she annoys me...just like she did in that show that was on TV for quite awhile; Macabre something or other.
Lingering bug fixes need to be addressed. The bugs can cause bad reviews to be given on the iTunes Store (of course, I'm speaking of iOS bugs in this case) and that can also hamper sales of new content...someone needs to realize this. Many of us here already have.
New backup/restore funtion that actually works in TPA v1.2.4. See:
http://digitalpinballfans.com/showthread.php/3535-Syncing-of-goals-local-high-scores-and-HOF-scores-across-devices
for more info.
In addition, have a read over at the dedicated Cirqus Voltaire table topic...

Also take note that after using the Restore function (at least local in this case), you NEED to actually play a game (any table) and then exit the table for the restored high scores to "stick". If you simply use the Restore function, NOT play a table & exit TPA, you'll again have to use the...
Also new is the Manage Tables option (from the main options menu). You can use this to see the table version number, the table size and tapping on a table will give you the option to delete it from the device. Very nice! Thanks FarSight!!!
Here's what I found with v1.2.4...
If you want to archive your table/scores file to you PC, just copy over the "pba3A.bac" file (using iFunBox or whatever other means you wish to access the iDevice's file system directly). You can omit all the other "pba*.*" files. The backup/restore function...
It looks as if the crashing after device sleep has also been fixed in this update...at least according to my limited testing between yesterday and today. Nice work guys!
EDIT: Well I thought it was...it hasn't crashed to the Springboard yet but at least on one table (CV), it resumes but then is...
You're able to use multiple devices per platform. For example, a purchase on an iOS device gives you the ability to use the purchase on whatever iDevices you may have, as long as you use the same AppleID on the devices. The same goes for Sony devices...purchasing for the PS3 allows you the same...
Yes, the stuttering is indeed there on certain tables but as "night" has been stating all along, it's strange how some do and some don't...especially those like BH where you wouldn't expect it. Those you would expect to have it have no issues like MB.
If you haven't already done so, check out the following topic. Sorry but It's all I can offer in the way of help...
