Something I've been thinking about......
OK....let's take the PS4 version of TPA as the example. All those Williams/Bally tables are embedded into the main TPA file, but were always locked behind a paywall, whether it be an individual sale or the season passes to access them, right? Anyone...
Personally, I just want the lighting issues fixed on the newest tables, and make it where the sound doesn't cut out on Black Knight and I'd be good. I can deal with most other minor issues. Maybe a new table release or two....
Really wish they would have hotfixed that extreme brightness issue that happened to Mustang and AC/DC after the last update. Kinda makes them not worth buying (or playing) at this point.
I've always said that it seems PSN is maintained by clueless non-gamers who don't care. It's just a job to them.
What we really need is for those who never bought them to "accidentally" get all the Bally/Williams tables. Now that would be an oopsie no one would complain about.
Get the Pro and try installing TPA before erasing and getting rid of your old PS4. I'd really like confirmation myself that ALL the tables and ballpacks I bought (which is ALL of them) will return if I ever had to reformat or get another PS4. Because you know, saying it "should be able to"...
Only thing I didn't like about SPA was the fact that most of the tables were already in TPA.......well, now ALL of them are in TPA. It just makes SPA seem pointless. I've heard people talking about SPA going free to play....not sure what that's going to mean for those of us that bought SPA...
xZOMBIEx certainly seems to be passionate about TPA doesn't he? I can respect that, but yeah, he's quite verbose. Personally, I just play for fun, not high scores, so the leaderboards don't really matter to me as I'll probably never top them anyway.
Too late, I already bought them, even though I already had all the other tables in the packs. But that's OK, I'm not fussed about it. I just wanted all the available tables in one program.
I don't think Tom went into hiding, it's just that this IS a holiday week. They may have taken this whole week off. Who knows, maybe they're busy working on the issues......or their vacation plans.....who knows.
First of all, I want to say thanks for the really quick update to fix Sorcerer and Champion Pub. Tom, you have been a godsend to us PS4 guys. As for the "rubble" you asked about.....
Mustang appears to have many of its initial issues fixed (thanks), but now the room brightness is WAY too high...
Heh, bought the packs to get the 3 new Stern tables, now I'm just waiting for TPA to update. Sure is taking its time coming. Was hoping to have it all updated and ready to go before I went to work. Oh well.
All I can say is that Pinball Arcade is my most treasured collection on the PS4 and I will continue to buy all of everything you guys release for it.
Couple things I'm wondering if they'll get fixed in this next update.......
Will the sped up sound in Scared Stiff be fixed?
Will the sound...
All I can say is that despite the loss of the Bally/Williams license, and the various issues some tables have, I will continue to buy any and all tables Farsight may release in the future for TPA/SPA on PS4. I'm not any kind of champion pinballer, but I do love to play the tables. I currently...
It certainly would make things easier for everyone (the users and Farsight) if they could just renew the Bally/Williams license. That license expiring is obviously going to create a nightmare situation for anyone who may have to re-install TPA. The possibility of losing tables we've bought is...
I've noticed that after the last update, many tables are actually lighter than they were before. Where I was around 40% room brightness, now I have to set them around 10-15%.....and some are still too bright at 0%.
I remember playing many of the tables in dark arcades and theaters and bars...
