After the recent iOS update, Zaccaria now crashes on both my iPad and iPhone. It's still available for download in the App Store and is advertised as working with current devices. I sent feedback to Apple, but I wonder if they'll say it's up to Magic Pixel (ASK Homework) to fix it. I had...
Thank you both for the advice! I just didn't know if I was missing something simple. I've been impressed with the tables I've played so far; just the sheer variety is amazing. And I look forward to contributing some as time goes on.
After all these years, I finally began exploring VPX tables. I'm not sure what took me so long. I'm really impressed with the sheer volume of tables, and the rare tables people have meticulously recreated. I've been inspired to being recreating some tables myself. I'm not keen on the vintage...
My iPad is still running it fine. Obvious question, and you've probably already done this: have you tried deleting the app, rebooting your iPad and then reinstalling the app? That's what I had to do when I updated to iOS 13.
Good luck with your project! If it works over Bluetooth, it could be worth it. I had other iDevice cabinets that required plugging in to the device's connector. When the connectors changed, the cabinets were useless. My only concern with Bluetooth would be latency when hitting the flippers...
I'm in the minority I guess, but outside of Bone Busters, I like those particular Gottlieb tables -- except for City of Gold! Why in God's name did they pick that over the original El Dorado? At any rate, I can't justify the expense for 12 tables I already have in virtual form. As yespage...
Although the native Mac version did receive a recent update, the menu system remained the same and the odd behaviors of some tables remained. For instance (and yes, I know Williams tables are no longer sold) the Black Knight table on Mac still has the same glitches as when it debuted. And the...
That's what I was thinking as well. Jersey Jack has some great tables that are both hard to find and wicked expensive to own. A digital version would be great.
Even so, Gottlieb has an enormous catalog of great EM machines that TPA could recreate. I'd be thrilled with that alone.
For me...
Also remember that Magic Pixel originally started as A.S.K. Homework with "Theme Park Pinball" on iOS, and gradually built up a large collection of really impressive original machines. Those are now being slowly released as bonus tables that can be purchased within Zaccaria. I really hope they...
This has been one of my favorite tables since the old Microsoft Pinball Arcade days. I've played the actual table only once, and that one had pretty weak flippers making many of the shots difficult if not impossible. Hitting that cue ball has always been strangely satisfying, though.
That's actually what drew me to this table. I was playing it free as table of the month and I finally bought it, mainly because that soundtrack is great. It also has fast and fun gameplay as well.
Two of my machines came from a closed amusement park. The games were being stored underneath a bumper car building -- in the dirt. I was able to clean them both off and get them working again. So I guess humidity didn't affect them much. But then, they were 1960s EMs, with no circuit boards...
I just noticed this one in the old film Mikey and Nickey. The image is too blurry to make out the name of the table:

I was surprised to see a TPA update today. Interestingly, it's the same old interface. Big Buck Hunter appeared in my collection. It's a fun table. When I finished playing it, the app crashed. So I guess the Mac version still needs some work. But at least it hasn't been forgotten.
