On my machine (2013 Mac Pro), the game is broken in Mohave. The menu works the same, but launching a game gives me just camera 1 for both launching the ball and playing the table. And there are other glitches. For instance, on Cyclone when the camera zooms up to the backglass, it doesn't...
Zen Pinball Rollercoaster (one of the the first iOS pinball games) and Epic Quest on Mac were two. I can't recall the third table that vanished. But that's what soured me on that company. They made fun tables that I played a lot, and one day the tables simply vanished with no explanation and...
Well that answers that. I was wondering why it miraculously appeared in my library when I had no interest in it and didn't buy it.
I'm really glad FS has allowed us to keep the ones we purchased. That's a heck of a lot better than Zen, which deleted three of my purchased tables without notice...
Pintastic had Time Machine and Devil Riders last year. The former never operated while I was there. The latter suffered from really weak flippers, but at least it was playable. I'm glad to see Zaccaria get a little recognition at these shows. They were pretty innovative in their day.
I just got the native Mac update. Unfortunately, the interface is still the old one, and the graphics are still the simplistic iOS version. So I’ll stick with Steam.
You never noticed the goats inside your Mac, running on those treadmills to power the computers? When they get old, their knees lock up and the treadmill slows down.
I finally unlocked that table. You're right -- it's the same layout, except it's not wide-body. That makes the gameplay especially fast and treacherous.
That's weird. I'm playing the Mac Steam version at 4k and it's running beautifully. There was one recent glitch with Pinball Champ, but the Magic Pixel team quickly fixed it. Other than that, all the tables have been playing fine for me.
I find myself playing the Zaccaria tables (on Steam) far more than TPA. I like the nostalgia of TPA, but their tables have been so glitchy, especially on Mac, that I've pretty much given up on them. The Magic Pixel team keeps updating and cranking out new table variations, and many (especially...
I just had Farsight transfer over my Mac purchases to Steam. It worked flawlessly. BTW, I run Win10 through Fusion on my Mac. Pinball Arcade on Steam with that setup runs better for me than the native Mac version. So I'm happy.
I'm just confused about how it all works. The website isn't very clear, from what I could see. It appears that having the games installed costs $499. But there's no mention of the cost of the cabinet (which I'm assuming is in the thousands). If that's the case, I'll just keep playing it on...
I second this. I’ve given up on the Mac version and just play the PC Steam version now. Interestingly, the iOS version (which is nearly identical) works fine. I didn’t know about TPA’s offer to migrate. I’ll have to look into that.
I heard this from a friend the other day and didn't believe it at first. I could see some of the tables with complicated intellectual property (like Addams Family or Star Trek) having a limited license. But Fireball? Funhouse? I'm glad the tables won't be wiped from our accounts and will...
I second this. Zankor is probably my favorite. I also really like Hot Wheels, Locomotion, Woods Queen and Robot. Stars Phoenix is incredibly weird (especially that soundtrack) but oddly compelling.
I've been using High Sierra (and APFS) for a few months now and haven't had any problems. TPA has been running its usual choppy self, as it's been doing for years. It actually runs better for me when it's emulated on Windows with Steam, oddly enough. So is High Sierra the problem? Probably...
