Magic Pixel did a nice job with this update. I like the new interface. I especially like now getting to see the entire machine cabinet. The new flipper sounds will take me a while to get used to. They're not bad, just very different. Some table sound effects have changed. Overall, I'm glad...
In the Steam version, I finally was about to grab the number 2 spot. But after time ran out on ball 6, the ball kept popping back into the plunger. I must have re-launched it 50 times. The table was dead, but the ball kept on coming. I finally had to quit the game. Calling the attendant did...
"You have got the mission." This is one of my favorite Gameprom tables. I liked the original version more; the updated version introduced some weird physics and graphic quirks. But I remember how stunned I was when I first played this table. The fresnel-lens-like ramp is visually...
I thought Zaccaria first came to Steam. I was part of that Kickstarter campaign. Then after that it spread to other platforms. Did it really start on iOS? I never saw it there until recently.
It's not that I prefer a high ball elasticity. It's just that in the current implementation, the setting is counter-intuitive. 100% ball elasticity creates a dead ball, as if you're hitting a lead weight, while 0% elasticity turns it into a superball, bouncing all over the place. Given how...
That's what I'm hoping. I didn't realize they had released an iOS Zaccaria app, with the Time Machine table free. I don't get the usual warning when launching the app, stating that it won't be supported in iOS 11. Even so, I'm being cautious before I make any IAPs; I'll wait until I've...
That was a blast! I played one decades ago, but it was great to see one in such good condition. It was a lot larger than I remember. Maybe I've shrunk....
Same here. Lawlor's designs remind me of the Beatles in their later days when they often referenced themselves in their music. A...
It looks like the playfield is really top-heavy. There are a few targets next to the outlanes, but everything else is located in the upper section of the playfield with a vast expanse of nothing (except the artwork) in between.
I saw you there, but didn't realize who you were! I would have said hi.
That Van Halen table absolutely is the Dolly Parton playfield (which I've never seen before). And that's what the Magic Pixel table must be based on as well.
I went to Pintastic on Friday. It had more tables than ever, and was packed with people. Interestingly, though, there weren't as many vendors. I almost got a Barry Oursler autograph; it was announced he was signing, but I couldn't find his table (even after asking some of the workers).
At...
The crackling sounds have been present for as long as I can remember. Interestingly, that problem doesn't seem to be present with iOS. I haven't noticed much of a difference in frame rate, but some of the graphics adjustments seem to have been tweaked and the tables look sharper. Lighting...
It's definitely tough. But somebody's figured it out. If I'm 104th, someone has made it to number 1. I'm just wondering how. Maybe it was just luck. That seems like the only way I've done well with Zaccaria; sometimes the ball just magically stays in play.
This year it's July 6-8, with some great speakers lined up. It'll be in the same space, the Sturbridge Host Hotel in Sturbridge MA. Is anyone planning to go? I'll be there on Friday.

This table has got me stumped. Anyone had any luck with it? I'm currently in the top ten on several Zaccaria tables, top five in a few. My average ranking is in the 20s. After hours of playing Cine Star (curiously pronounced "Sign Star" by the table announcer), I can muster only 104th place...
I'm going to start threads on those tables as well (unless someone beats me to it). Arcade is a lot of fun and it's the first implementation of video games into pinball that actually works well. I love Snow pinball too, with clever theming. I think there was different music originally, but I...
This was the first table from Gameprom, and one of the first games I ever got for my first iPhone. It featured all the traits that would become Gameprom staples: the bell triggering the start of "missions"; the flashing arrows directing you what to hit next; upper rollovers that trigger bonus...
I never thought about that, but you're right. It does make it easy to trap the ball, but I've lost it plenty of times too. The games do go on for a while, but I look at it as getting my money's worth from the tables (as opposed to Zaccaria, where the ball drains after several seconds).
That...
