What amazes me is that it was apparently popular enough to warrant a sequel of sorts. This sits next to a Dr. Dude table in the Pacific Pinball Museum in Alameda, California. I played a game. It also sucked.

Dude by a country mile. Being a one-shot table is hardly a plus, but not fatal. Bride of Pinbot for example makes up for it with style and cool progression through the various stages. Dude has all the style of a bootleg Bart Simpson t-shirt, and its five seconds of multiball are anticlimactic...

At least with Pin*Bot you know most the extra balls are going stright from the plunge to the outlane :)

In non-Dude-bashing news, it's a shame the camera issues I'd been reading about scared me off Cirqus Voltaire, man is this table fun. Think ill spend some more time with it after the tourney. I'd consider buying one actually if I can mod it to get the cannon shoot out behind the backglass.

Yeah there's tables that are hard but entertaining (Firepower, F2k to an extent) and then there's just absurd, with this one crossing the line for me. Drains seems so random it feels like trench warfare circa 1915. I'll come back to it at some point but so far we have bonding issues.
