Yeah, hold off on controllers until official support comes in next month. Apple's not making the controllers themselves but just offering a standardized way of supporting them. Once that's in place the floodgates are open and just like with iPhone/iPad cases it'll just be a matter of finding the...
Yeah. I played one round of a real T2 last month and it was a short, frustrating experience. Here I was just shy of 200M myself my 2nd game. Trapping and post transfers are easy, the post deflects the skull shot often enough and the only really dangerous shot seems to be missing the Cyberdyne...
Man, all this talk about completing the mirror every ball and I'm lucky if I can manage it once per game, even if I concentrate on nothing else. I just can't seem to regain control of the ball after hitting Rudy -- I nudge, ball hits a slingshot and it's over more often than not. Frustrating.
Finally, after months of work on this table, it finally clicked today.
I've spent a good two weeks playing pretty much nothing else. Have the Snack Bar shot from the right flipper mostly down pat, the left loop and car ramp almost at 100%, but Criminy 'almost 100%' pretty much means 'never'...
Yeah I tested it out and my first shot off the left flipper hit the door and jumped the rail into the moat.
The second shot hit the door, and the third shot bricked and drained. I'm not that great at Medieval Madness.
When I was playing a couple months ago I had a problem in that when multiball kicked in the camera would stay locked on the inner playfield no matter how many balls were on the outer playfield, obviously making those balls unplayable.
I'd be interested in seeing it. I'd kindof written off this table a couple weeks after I started playing (around Feb this year) because I thought I'd "solved" it (get the extra ball, head downstairs and rack the bonus up to 100k, repeat), but if you have something better then hey.
That said...
If you think this is fast you're gonna love Space Shuttle.
With regards to the lower play field, it'll feel faster if you have the camera zoomed in on it. It'll also screw you over when you get multiball so I recommend pulling the camera back.
Eh, maybe for DMDs where ball savers are common but I get screwed over on ball 2 or 3 on these tables that I'd find it a bit grating to not have another shot.
Plus giving say 100k points for reaching 1.4M just means the score scale doesn't have 1.4-1.5M scores -- there's no extra accomplishment...
Everyone is talking about this on a full plunge. Do you guys mean more like a 2/3 plunge? A full plunge hits the side of the ramp for me every time, but dialing it back usually takes the ball up.
Man is this table ever kicking my butt, pun intended. Missing a shot is almost a guaranteed drain, but it's tough to trap the ball on this table so I can't make real controlled shots. Bag's as much of a drain hazard as any other table's center-table toy. I also don't really know what to do when...
Oh, one more bug ive mentioned before but isn't in the sticky thread yet: while replays score 100k, the instructions state theres an extra ball at 4.6M which doesn't register.
Had a rocking first couple balls in a game last night -- was racking up multiballs like I was some sorta wizard. Then proceeded to have literally four house balls in a row. Ah pre-ball saver tables, you are such cruel mistresses. Anyway, two bugs popped up:
1) Registered my score and a new high...
Okay pretty sure it's a bug now. I hit 4.6 on Ball 1, game went nuts with the replay fanfare and I drained shortly after. No extra ball light, next ball was Ball 2.
The instructions state that specials are 100k, but you get an EB at I think 4.6M. I'm pretty sure that EB isn't happening though -- that might be a bug either in the instruction sheet or the game.
