A thousand switch hits isn't that many over Frankenstein > (optionally) Bash > Rock > (optionally) Mosh. You're talking about 20 to 30 minutes of near-continuous multiball.
On Monster Bash to maximize bonus: Start Lyman's Lament right before entering Frankenstein Multiball with stacked modes, so that you go through Monster Bash and Monsters of Rock immediately afterwards. If conservatively played, this will result in a bonus of 250M or more.
Framerates below 60 Hz will disturb the physics, leading to slowdown and/or "stuttering" during gameplay.
As for the technical reasons why the physics are tied to the framerate; I think Mike explained it once, but I can't put my finger on the relevant forum post at the moment.
I'm not in every podcast because my work schedule doesn't always agree with the recording windows. There's only a narrow set of times everyone's available, especially since we have people in Germany and Australia in addition to the U.S.
That being said, if you haven't listened to all the...
If WPT has a deep ruleset, it does not make it obvious. I've played quite a bit of it, and while it's always seemed to me to require an inordinate number of shots to get anything started, I've never been impressed with the variety of things to do on it.

He wants attention...we shouldn't be giving him any here.
Unknown at this time. It's not really safe until the kickstarter gets over $107,640 and thereby beyond the reach of trolls (because $10,000 is the maximum pledge, real or fake).
Glad you liked the Lost in the Zone segment! I always wonder how it's received, since it's the "serious" part of the podcast (as serious as we get, anyway). Trying to keep it from becoming a lecture takes a lot of effort, not just from me but from shutyertrap and Jeff and everyone else, who have...
