We don't generally ban new members.
However, old repeatedly-banned ex-members are fair game. Goodbye again, for the sixth time. Please don't come back.
We've actually done that a couple of times - if you search for "Designated Complaint Area" you can find the threads - but both times the concentration of bile and venom threatened to break through their container and the experiment had to be abandoned.
And yeah, even just skimming through some...
Oh no. AC/DC has the three Thunderstruck targets next to the ramps, Scared Stiff has a similar arrangement of Leaper standups next to its ramps, Dracula and T2 have evil center banks, Lord of the Rings has the Palantir target, etc. Sucker shots are a near-universal feature of pinball design.
I view the Earthshaker > Whirlwind > FunHouse > Addams Family sequence to be a series of refinements on the original theme. I don't think TAF would have been what it was without the first three tables to give Lawlor feedback on what worked, what didn't, and what was good in theory but bad in...
Keep in mind that when we're discussing strategy for a machine in depth, we're discussing the real machine, not TPA's version of it. The lock shot is much harder on a real one.
Also, the left vs right flipper thing is for hitting the castle itself. The lock is obviously easier from the right...
"I thought I was having an argument."
"Oh no, sir, this is Abuse. You want Room 12B, just down the hall."
Yeah, about that UX discussion...well, you'll know when we get there, folks.
It's the long-awaited one-year anniversary episode! In fact, we've been awaiting it so long that I can't remember what's all in it, and I helped record it! So it's an anniversary surprise for everyone!
You can find the download for the podcast here.

OK, so my definition of "soon" needs adjustment. But I can safely report that Episode #13 has exited the production process and should be available later today.
I never said all. You're stuffing words in my mouth now. Go back up and reread what I said if you don't believe me.
I'm sure if I looked hard enough I could find one or two Zaccaria machines whose art I liked, just like I've learned to like one or two Gottliebs from having to play them...
Why would you be surprised? Just because I'm a moderator doesn't mean I give up my right to an opinion, however misguided you might think that opinion is.
Someone looking to buy 27 TPA tables would be doing so via season packs. The older seasons in particular are nowhere near $4.99 a table when purchased as part of a season. I think you can get the first two seasons (37 tables) on Steam for $50 or so.
And the Zaccaria tables are ugly, simply...
Not true. I'm aware of at least five, three of whom (Mike Reitmeyer, FlippyFloppy, and Scumble373) maintain a more or less active presence here in the forums depending on their workload. FarSight also has a set of artists separate from the programming team.
