I've rated and submitted an App Store review. Nice table. My fave bit is the football kicking sound effects for the slingshots and bumpers. That yellow loop on the left is a tough one. Nice, solid effort, thanks!
I think it would make more sense to sell the licensed tables standalone, frankly. I mean how prominently are they mentioned in the description of the Pinball Arcade? I'd have to think a Twilight Zone Pinball or Star Trek TNG pinball app would have much better visibility than "The Pinball Arcade"...
Good poll, I couldn't even pick one off the S4 licensed one because I just don't care about any of those machines.
My choices:
2. Judge Dredd
4. Xenon
5. Cyclone
14. Bad Cats
18. Eight Ball Deluxe
22. Catacomb
24. Seawitch
26. Sorcerer
27. Fathom
30. Fire!
True iTunes allows you to back-up your app, but what about in-game purchases? It does seem to me that there's some kind of online handshake happening to determine what tables I own and though I've not had issues playing my pinballs offline, the kickstarter rewards definitely need an...
I cannot understand the love for this table. Sound effects are annoying like Dr. Dude (same hardware is to blame for that I expect) and it looks like the left ramp is going to be shot A LOT. But I guess we all have our nostalgia itches to scratch!
I'm on the fence as well, but leaning towards "no," because I have to save up for a trip to California to see family. Haven't been Stateside in four years and that's a long time, though FaceTime calls help!
Well two of those I haven't seen, two I have zero interest in because they're linked to bands I have zero interest in and though I might have given Tron Legacy a play once it was broken so I couldn't - maybe that's a good one, but despite really enjoying the film, the licensed aspect still puts...
Well I like T'eed Off better than No Good Gofers - the table layout and event trigger/progression makes more sense to me. Some of my very favourite tables are in season 2. Season 3 has been about playing tables I've never seen before, but aside from the novelty of unfamiliarity there's nothing...
Never seen it or played it so I can't say for sure. Generally speaking it feels like the quality of some of these machines isn't quite as good because the plasticky stuff dominates: Sterns Simpsons is an example.
Little accents are fine (e.g. Martians in Mars Attacks), but when the whole table...
Given how the plunger cam stops working after the first Highwire ball lock and you get the ball vibration until you nudge once the second one is there every single time, it's something that you'd hope a little tweak would sort out. I'm guessing the priority for things viewed as non-game-breaking...
I'm not a huge fan of the newer Sterns for the most part because of all the plasticky toys. Having said that I played Avengers at the remaining HMV in Glasgow and it's not a bad machine - certainly better than the Zen Marvel table by the same name. The slingshots didn't seem to be working, but I...
Black Knight 2000 and High Speed are the highlights for me this season. I just don't feel the love for all the gadgetry, though Junkyard does have some tricky shots to pull off. Season 2 had some nice surprises in it; while I don't love all the Gottlieb tables I don't share the hate. All I ask...
