I don't want it to happen either and if worse comes to worse, I hope they do platform exclusives. It's just frustrating that iOS devices are out barely a year and they have a new and more powerful one. Not to mention that apple STILL hasn't made a new iPod Touch for awhile. Anyway, with...
Drawing the line is one thing, but I already mentioned that I feel that they aren't toning down the games for platforms and that it's possible for multiple versions to exist without comprimise. Farsight advertised support for multiple platforms and the video for the PS3 version proves the...
It's not like handhelds can't play the tables without rom emulation. I'm ok if the tables lack ROM emulation only on certain platforms if it means them running smooth. The platforms that can handle it can still run the rom emulation. I rather that the handhelds get a version catered to them than...
This only happened a couple of times. Sometimes, the ball goes near an area where the ball can be locked, doesn't end up in the ball lock, but the DMD shows the ball lock animation anyway. I think this may happen on the real table, but I'm not completely sure. I'm on iPad 1.
To my knowledge, the first version of Worms Pinball to come out was with Addiction Pinball in 1998, which is only on PC. Worms Pinball was later packaged with Worms Blast, which came after Addiction. Port of Addiction or not, it's still the same table that's in Addiction being sold by itself...
Valve seems to be a bit silly when it comes to Pinball releases on steam. Worms pinball is being sold at 8 dollars without the World Rally Fever table. The other game, Slamit, is buggy with no updates from the developer.
Actually, I'm curious about what Farsight's plans are for the Stern lincense. A lot of their newer tables use the S.A.M. system, which, as far as I know, isn't emulated. It's probably even more demanding than Whitestar too.
Farsight answered this. They mentioned on Facebook that the Stern license covers the Sega and Data East tables. What I would like to know is if the license includes Chicago Coin and the 70-80s Stern electronics tables.
While not officially a TV based table, the artwork of the late 70s Eight Ball is based off Happy Days.
Edit: Just found out about another TV based table, Rescue 911.
I wouldn't mind seeing it as an option you can turn on or off, like some PC programs have. Another thing I would like to see is an option for higher/lower quality sound samples. Not only would the latter help with more demanding tables, it can also help lower the file size for tablet, phone, and...
I think you misread. I wasn't saying that he shouldn't voice his opinion, I just feel it could have been voiced in a nicer way. I also feel that putting the exact problem as the title of the thread is much more informative than a title that claims that the table is unplayable. If there's proof...
Is this confirmed? Was Illinois Pinball the owner of the table, or just a licensed distributor? One page was a bit confusing saying Williams had the rights and then Illinois Pinball buying them from Capcom afterwards, with no info on what happened in between. Last I checked the Illinois Pinball...
I would like to see a few of the tables in the Microsoft Pinball Arcade end up in Farsight's Pinball Arcade. Especially Haunted House, Slick Chick, and Spirit of '76.
Personally, I wouldn't mind the ball graphic for the PHOF collections being used with the new physics on older devices. I think the bigger ball graphics would allow more visibility on smaller devices.
I'm aware that the game runs fine on iPhone 4S and iPad 2. I mentioned the lower quality sound samples becuase I'm aware the Whitestar chipset is demanding. I heard lower quality sound samples are used as a workaround for Visual Pinball recreations of Stern tables.
I would definitely like to...
I wish it had the amiga Pinball Dreams instead of the PC port. Also, 9.99 seems good, but that includes a lot of the Spidersoft tables, which I heard mixed things about. I heard the PC Pinball Fantasies and Pinball Illusions are good, though.
I like Epic Pinball and Silverball quite a bit. I...
