I've not tried yet. Xmas with 2 kids is a crazy time. I've got a full back up of everything from a while back but my highscores.dat is a fair bit more recent I'll backup every thing again to a new folder and start trying things. I'll report back with my findings.

Yeah a few of us have. We think it's caused by a super scream from the librarian mode. I reported it to farsight and they acknowledged it.

p.dat has been updated. theres also a 736176652E646174.dat that looks like its a mimic of the highscore file and has the corrupted data in it. Farsight mailed me to say they'd identified the issue but that's not clear on if the fix has actually rolled out to our clients. I wonder if I can...

Dunno. I was only looking at the timestamp for the highscores file. I'll have another look in the morning. Good news that the backup and restore method works though. I had tried it on a second machine and it refused to work but hopefully that was because I did something wrong. Gives me insurance...

I'll add that I have cloud sync off as well.

Is still happening today from what I can tell. My hdd save is from the 14th and looks fine in a hex editor. Load the game and scores are corrupt. Use a debugger to inspect the program memory and the save data area has been stomped/corrupted.

Actually. Turns out I've been rather lucky. I played pistol poker quickly yesterday for the first time to see if it'd award the skill shot goal. I tried multiple times using exit game to speed it up. Since it didn't, i never actually finished a game and so it never overwrote my save file on the...

S5 is now correctly 50% off on steam. In other news. Farsight have trashed our savegames on steam so we've lost all our highscores and some of (if not all) or goal progress. Pod

Supposedly it's 50% off only through the in game store. It'd be nice to get some clarification from farsight though. I'd rather buy it from steam.

I'm not sure that works anymore. The files are all timestamped and crc'd

I also found that from a left kickout you can up nudge just as the ball reaches the right flipper to send it over and up and back down the left in lane. Given the launch shot return goes to the left kicker more often I found this invaluable for the goal
