the only thing similar i've seen was in the old PHOF: Williams Collection for the Wii. i have more than once gotten the ball stuck behind a target on the top-right side of the playfield. When there, it registered as a hit every half-second or so. i let it run for a couple hours and rolled up...
i don't think this is the case. if you're not online at the completion of your game, i don't think your score will count towards your HOF score.
other than that, though, i feel like iPad is the perfect platform for this game.
this only happens when you've pulled the plunger one pixel too far. there is a perfect spot to hit the skill shot every time, and if you're off by one pixel, the ball gets jammed up in the bumpers on its way up. (on the IOS anyway, can't vouch for consoles)
i usually have a game plan for particular tables. if i don't make significant progress on that plan on my first ball, i restart. i don't see the point of continuing. sure, sometimes one's third ball is best ... why not make that ball your first in a new game? and yeah playing out a game is...
on the iPad, there is a particular plunger position (say that 5 times fast) where you can get the rudy's hideout skillshot every time. it's hard to describe ... but i bring the rim of the plunger handle exactly even with the bottom border of the rectangular housing. maybe i'll post a...
hmm, i'm still losing too many balls while going for the extra ball loop. :( seems like i score better when i simply go for the billion point shot and nothing else. i still get extra balls every 7th time the ball goes into the pinbot area (every 2.5 cycles through building her i think?)
i've...
i picked up this goal totally on accident. in fact, i dont think i even did anything. it was something like, ringmaster dropped the ball, it bounced off the boom balloon and went right back into the hole, and i got a goal i didn't know existed. seemed like a 1 in 1000 shot.
great tips.
i have always found the extra ball loop shot from the right flipper too risky -- if i miss, it's almost always gone. as a result, my game was solely focused on progressing to metamorphosis and spinning the big wheel. i can't wait to try for extra balls from the LEFT flipper, on...
honestly all i do is go for the extra balls in the lane next to the lower playfield lane. getting those 2 extra balls from the EB and Special are the overriding priority. once those two are grabbed, do whatever. doesn't really matter, since you can go more or less forever as long as you can...
if you haven't backed up your scores, i don't think there's a way. same thing happened to me when i downloaded the latest update :( took me a couple weeks to recover. i still haven't matched my old high scores on gorgar or circus voltaire (two very luck-based tables, ugh)
I would recommend the iPad. The portrait aspect ratio is the best fit for a pinball game, and the ability to just pick it up anywhere at any time and be playing a quick game of pinball inside of 5 seconds is unmatched. why tether yourself to your couch? the graphics and physics are not a...
This happened to me last night, and i was unable to continue with my game.
during multiball, i sent both balls up the heart ramp. the ramp winds its way down down and deposits balls either onto the right flipper or into the plunger area. the two balls clicked against each other and both ended...
this objection would only have merit on tables where it was possible for your score to go down. i don't know if such tables exist, but there aren't any on TPA currently.
this is a very cool and elegant idea.
it makes perfect sense that the ROMs would not have built-in logic for dealing with balls that dematerialize out of traps. i think we all get that such logic would be complicated and need to be tailored for every table, and likely to introduce other...
kickstarters usually stagnate in the middle like this. even at the "stagnant" pace, it will still meet its goal, but most pick up steam towards the end anyway. i really don't think there's any reason to worry.
Also, I don't think it's THAT buggy. There are two main bugs that are both pretty rare -- very occasionally there is a ghost ball roaming the table at the beginning of the game ( seems to have something to do with spamming the flippers while the table is starting up). And second, sometimes...
