Sample rate, compression, etc. all lead to a lack of dynamic range in the sound on TPA. Have posted several examples before if you're interested in comparing the real thing vs. what TPA is.
It has bummed me out, and I wish they would address or at least acknowledge the issue. This isn't all...
iPhone 4; IOS 7; TPA completely unplayable due to stuttering issues.
(no other open applications, over 3GB of free space available. have hard reset phone, tried reset all settings as suggested in thread, etc.- still stutters so much that I can't play it.)
^What he said. Gameplay is nice, check. But - wow. Wow.
The graphics are really pretty abysmal. The 'chrome' or 'silver' possibly looks better on my iPhone 4 than on the PS3. (Granted that's a smaller screen, but I think the coloration, lack of shine on the chrome, and the lighting on...
CHAMPION PUB: maybe I'm doing something wrong, but the plunger button on PS3 doesn't work correctly. if i pull it back and hold it, it should begin to cycle through options on the DMD for the various skill shot(s). can someone confirm whether or not this is a bug/or user error?
on my iphone...
I actually got back from playing the real table near me today, and I kind of noticed this too. The sound on the pinball arcade sounds a little disjointed- less in sync perhaps with what is going on than the real thing.
Yes, but how many of them were relatively bug-free? There's quantity and there's quality. And there's a balance between the two. To me what you said just reads: 'farsight = quantity.' Now, remember, that's my subjective interpretation of what you described.
I don't mean any...
RE:looking for clean source files: use these MM clips then for comparison.

I'm sorry, but there's no denying that there's issues with the audio effects, as well as the audio quality in TPA compared to the real thing.
Listen to these medieval madness sound clips from the rom then:

The quality IS part of the ROM sounds. There's simply no denying that. Why don't we just email and ask him what he thinks though? We can debate all day...
Wow, this is a great website. THANK YOU. Hopefully someone from farsight will take note of this. There's a huge discrepancy in the actual quality of the sound files, and what we hear on the pinball arcade.
Thanks for replying!
I've posted a thread a while ago here - this post is a good example, one of many:
http://digitalpinballfans.com/showthread.php/817-Improve-the-audio-quality-of-each-table?p=9554&viewfull=1#post9554
I think MB may have the best sound quality of any of the newer tables, for...
from the youtube videos i've looked at, it seems like TPA's audio for this table may be even worse than the actual machines. IMO, of course, and I have nothing to really back this up other than searching on youtube, finding a high quality video (720p and up if possible) and comparing the audio...
I'd go as far as to say that At least the last 6 tables (most of them) all look off- washed out, weird coloring, too saturated, etc.
Like, everything since CV perhaps. :(
I'm on PS3 over here. Noticed some low resolution on the front of the machine where the key/quarters would go- the whole front, including the art on that piece of the machine, looks low resolution.
How to see this- when the camera is zoomed out into plunger view (i.e., when one is about to...
