I don´t know if this is the right place to ask - I´ve been a beta tester on iOS, but recently bought a Nexus 7 2013, and I´d love to be able to beta test there instead, since it´s quickly becoming my main device :)

You're in the right place.

Watch this forum for beta updates from around the 15th of each month.

Download the app to your device, and then install the APK (you'll need to enable the setting in Security.

Beta's work differently on Android. I think most of the heavy lifting gets done with the iOS beta, which irons out many of the real nasty bugs, and then Android gets the results of the iOS tester's hard work.

I know Ryan and Stuart work closely together.

Cool, thanks :) I still keep my iPad Mini on standby when the new beta versions come, TPA is one of the things I still enjoy on it (despite the lower resolution).

Also remember that the score limits are in place here.
You will need to purchase the tables to have full play.

Very true and welcome! I leave the purchasing code in to test that flow as well in case i mess up an enumeration or something. I should be posting a new one at the end of the day. Stay tuned!

Ah, I was just going to ask how beta testing on Android works, but I just noticed the apk on the first page. Nexus 7 is my first Android device, so I´m still learning ;)

That´s fine! I was actually starting to feel a bit bad for getting all these iOS tables for free, because I prefer to support Farsight.

Here ya guys go

-Rebuilt and version bumped 1812 to
-include texture updates,
-Also personally moved landscape plunger cam down since our cam guy wasn’t in yet =).
-Rebuilt Haunted House to fix upper playfield score exploit (hopefully for good this time).
-Cue Ball wizard tuning for ramp shot. Also post passes should work better.
-Added translations for two new tables.
-Controller support for Moga mode B added. Might work with other controllers but I have no way of testing this.

1812 looks funny with the new rez file, yeah. Maybe this is only noticeable in explore view tho

The playfield looks super bright otherwise.

OK, played my first game with my Moga controller. What a fun experience. Only issue was at the end when the final score UI didn't appear and I got an android OS message about TPA hanging and I had a choice to close it or wait. I waited and TPA came back to life, the Match sequence was skipped and the attract mode was running on the gi ligting, and HSTD on the HUD, but no end of game UI to finish. I could get the menu via the back key to exit, that was the only way to end the game.

Is that eight ball supposed to be on the play field right above the cue ball?

Reported issues with Moga Pocket in the controller thread. Great work on the other items though, Ryan.

no that's a new anomaly.
What's weird about it is that it's not really there "physically". The pinball passes through it.

Another thing: the whole 8-Ball assembly is tilted down to the left. You can see the clear plastic passing through the blue part of it on the left.

Awesome update Ryan! Thanks.

CO1812 artwork fixed confirmed.

CBW ramp shot tuning and accuracy feels spot on now. And you can see the ball slow as it climbs.

Bug - still getting crashes on N7-2012 when Tilt meter is on.
Can't always repro it, it's not 100% but had it twice on CO1812 & MA in 5 mins of play.
Just at the point of tilt the app just crashes.

Controller support is awesome Moga Pro mode B - But it really needs the flippers to be on the shoulder buttons (L1/R1) instead of the triggers (L2/R2) then it'd be perfect (please please please squeeze this one in).

Thanks again.

Maybe Ryan can confirm this as still being the case with the Moga, but previously when he was trying to get universal controllers enabled the shoulder buttons were tied to the analogue sticks and would engage the X/Y axis when depressed; this would impact nudging. IDK if this has any bearing on why the flippers are assigned to the triggers, or if it has to do with which buttons are analogue/digital for possible implementation of 2 stage flippers in the future etc.

Even though I'm not an Android user, I noticed that the bulbs on the ramp entrance (where the SHOOT RAMP is) are in the wrong places. The first should be above the second O in SHOOT, and the second above A in RAMP. I noticed this also in the Pack 20 screenshot thread. There are also supposed to be screws in where the bulbs are currently positioned.

L1/R1 shoulder buttons are currently working as magna-save in BK as is.
They aren't affecting nudging.
