Hey guys!
Some exciting news! We are finally about to submit the new game today, Atomic Pinball Collection (just Atomic or APC from now on). And yes, it's now an arcade. We love Pinball Arcade, and their business model, so we are heavily inspired by it. What it means is that all tables are free to try up to a certain score. If you like it, buy it. If not, well you haven't spent any money.
So this will be a new app, under the company Color Monkey instead. We feel that the brand is stronger and hopefully will attract more sales, which in turn means more tables. The old app will cease to exist. But if you have purchased it, you will always have access to it.
Now, *some* might remember about a new version of Robobot? It was mentioned like 10 years ago. We have the new version ready, Robobot 2 I guess you can call it. Some will like it. Some purists will always prefer the original. So, since we put the reimagined Robobot in the new game, you will still have access to the old version. It also means, that if you have bought the first game, you will have to buy the new one as well. I know you will feel screwed over, sorry about that.
Atomic will feature two tables; Masks of Glory and Revenge of the Rob-o-bot. All tables are designed to be fully functional as real physical pinball tables. Here's a screenshot of Masks of Glory. I'll add a screenshot of the new Robobot later.
MASKS OF GLORY
Set in the Mexican wrestling scene Lucha Libre, Masks of Glory is a fun and challenging table. With a Tequila Bar, insane multi-ball, chickens, Bumper Mania, piñatas, the Good-vs-Evil-meter, illegal moves, lowriders, and tacos, there is always something to do, or eat.
You are the underdog trying to beat the other contenders like the bullying Diabeto, El Ligre, Carnal Muerte, the annoying Los Hermanitos Gallitos brothers and the playboy El Fantastico with hair so greasy you can almost feel it.
But beware of El Diablo, the current reigning champion. He is big and bad, and his breath is even worse.
REVENGE OF THE ROB-O-BOT
This re-imagined version of the classic is back with more missions, updated graphics, new sounds (meet the new Betty!) and an even meaner Rob-O-Bot!
FAQ
Q: Will it be available for Android?
A: Sorry to disappoint, but no, not now. It's a pure financial decision. That doesn't mean it will not see the light on the platform some day in the future.
Anders, I have been enjoying your awesome Robobot for years and cant wait! Thanks for the update. Is there any chance you could please add icade support to your new release? I hope we will be able to nudge in your new creation as well. If you have the time, please let us know if this is possible.

That's good to hear you collaborate on the game. Focusing on your strengths is important for maximum effectiveness in today's market.
And while I am disappointed it isn't on Android, I agree it's a good move to hold it back. For the record, this is exactly what A.S.K. Homework has done with their Zaccaria collection. They have done most of the heavy lifting on iOS and have taken a lot of beta tester feedback on board. They are now ready to port to Android, knowing that the real hard work is behind them.
I know you'll get there eventually. And those of us in Android land will be waiting, fist-clutching bills ready to slap them against the screens of our tablets and phones with eagerness.
RoboBot is looking good Andes. I can tell the playfield art is slightly different, nice. Hope we can play these tables within a few days.
Btw, I always liked how you guys simulated glass on RoboBot with the subtile reflection of the DMD. I did not noticed it on Mask of Glory, but perhaps it's on that table as well.
Was thinking of getting Rob-O-Bot for my iPhone but I'd better hold it until APC comes out? It's a different title alltogether, right?
Haven't looked into iCade how hard/easy it is to implement. Also curious how many who have one, can't be that many? There are lots of changes on all areas in this new game, for instance there is a new static camera which have been requested by many. I think it needs some minor changes though, hopefully we can submit an update when the new game is approved.
Not sure of the numbers of icade users, but TPA and zacc supports it so a lot of us bought one because of the support and it is amazing to play on - especially if you mod the icade with side flipper buttons. If it's no big deal to implement in a future update it would be appreciated.
