There is such a thing as an average arcade nowadays?
They are few and far between, but they do exist here in the US. Most are part of an attraction like laser tag, family fun centers, amusement parks, or malls. People would just love to get all in a tizzy about a profane pinball machine at the fun center.

They're gonna have to have a family mode if they plan on selling this machine to a larger market.

That's exactly what didn't happen with South Park. It's in so many restauraunts / dive bars / family fun centers it's not even funny.

South Park pinball has a rating setting that can cut the profanities and it has cover ups for things on the playfield that could be obscene.

Oh. In all the South Parks I've seen, they didn't adjust them...
Well regardless, the quotes in South Park pinball really aren't that bad compared to quotes from Lebowski. Plus they are said in a "cartoony" fashion that obscures them bit. Lebowski drops loud f bombs every other word. The mother of all swear words. There's no getting around it if they plan to use quotes from the movie. It's gonna drop f bombs.

Whoever is making this is doing a good job of getting hype up/using viral marketing. Apparently there were people in bowling outfits at expo handing out fliers for this.

$8500 for another pinball coming out whenever with no pictures of the table. Pinball might be back if you have a lot of money and patience..

I understand the deposit is refundable but who wants there money tied up with a pinball manufacturer for 18 months.

From the FAQ page:
Why haven’t you released the game design yet?

There are a few reasons for this: the licensing details took a long time and we also had to finish the deal with the production facility. We also would like to ask input from the pinball community to make a game we all love. Please be patient for just a little while longer. We promise that we will release the design and layout as soon as we can.

Asking for input from the pinball community to make the game? Sounds to me like they have very little design done at all.
