Yep VP from now on. I built my cab for VP and it has improved beyond my dreams in the last 3 years. VP10 is awesome, Unity3D is great, so will stick with those. No more TPA for me sadly.
Well... the podcast was recorded last week, but the answers to the questions were already around since the previous podcast, over a month ago (end of July). So I imagine cab support was "indefinitely suspended" some time mid-late July. FS have had their current cab build at every show they've been to - but didn't have it at ReplayFX, which was end of July/beginning of Aug, if that's telling.
Yeah the interview is like 2 months old and SYT knew it all along, but he didn't tell us to get more listeners.
As much as I appreciate his work with the podcast, I'm a little disappointed of him.
Imo, it's the purpose of a forum to share information immediately.
I know, when he has information about upcoming tables, that he is not allowed to tell us, but this one is different.
How do you know it's different?
Do you think, BK told him that cab support is on hold, but he has to wait two months to tell us?

Would be funny if they just randomly added cab support now, just to tease everyone!
Serious note, if it's licensing related I'm guessing it's because they don't want people making further money off the licences i.e build a coin operated cab, then charge people to use it without any of the profit going back to the licence holders. That's my theory anyway.
Shouldn't stop unofficial support though, perhaps there would be a loophole around it e.g add cab support but lock out all coin functionality or something
My cab doesn't even have a coin door.
I say nothing speaks against TPA for private cab use. A cab is just an advanced display and control device for v-pin games. The license should work for that.
If someone uses this as a coin operated machine and tries to make money off it discuss it with him/her.
Owning a gun doesn't give you the license to kill.
At least not in Europe.
