Guys, I'm perfectly aware that I bought the K2000 for Adobe's Mercury engine, not for gaming.... though TPA makes for a lovely coffee break :)

The point is that both White Water and Cirqus Voltaire play perfectly well on this card if I start with a different table. Just now I tried High Roller Casino first; no playability problems there; nor with White Water after it or Cirqus Voltaire after that.

Something seems to be going on that's dependent on which table you start first. That seems to be the sort of thing that Mike and the rest of the Farsight team ought to know about during a beta. If I can be directed to useful testing that could help uncover what's happening and let them decide whether it's something that should be fixed, I'll be happy to give it a try.

Even a gtx465 can still run this game perfectly.

source of information and tpa settings please.

What TPA and CCC settings do you use?

--
Mpad has a "580 TI". I think he only plays in portrait mode without camera movement.
Maybe he wants to test TOTAN in landscape mode, camera 4.
(and CV & BH :))

Had time to test again with the latest version DX11 beta 1.38.9

I run portrait with 1080*1920 all maxed out in the config tool, and forced some more stuff in NVIDIA control panel (dunno if it works though).

I tested the tables TOTAN, TAF, CV, WhiteWater.
Except with the very first camera zoom in on the skill shot in TOTAN (right after table loading) I had zero issues running the game.
Constat 60 FPS, no fram rate drops.
I even reactivated the moving cam and simulated some camea movement by changing the view during gameplay.
No drops! No problem during neon Multiball on CV.

my exact specs are:
core I5 2500K @ 3.3 GHz
Intel sandy bridge Z68 MB
4 GB DDR3 Ram (single channel)
Samsung SSD 840 EVO 120 GB
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 560 Ti OC (did I write 580 ?, well it was quite the beast back in its time) - now around 60 bucks on ebay...
latest drivers of course!!!

P.S. CV is one of those tables with really bad textures, especially noticeable with all the DX11 glory and a dark room setting. when the camera moved to the backglas I thought I dropped my glasses. blurry mess!

I'm liking the new lighting effects on dx11, but I noticed some GI lights are brighter than others... like on AFM, the lights behind the martian targets are so bright, even with the lighting sliders set to 0 (which makes the lights under the table really dim), they're still really bright.

I'm also having issues with the aspect ratio in fullscreen mode. Looks fine in windowed mode, but in fullscreen mode its stretched too far horizontally.

If it helps, I'm using a GTX980, in a triple-monitor setup. Center screen is the primary.

Thanks

Version 1.38.9 bugs DX11

Specs:
I5 4.3ghz
GTX 970 FTW 4gbvram
16gb ram
win7 64bit
SSD

Portrait Mode
Brighter ball on

Champion Pub
- when starting a fight by shooting the left cycle (jump rope) the fight starts, but the jump rope keeps spinning thoughout the fight until the ball drains

Xenon
Flipper 3.0 ball comes to a complete dead stop only on the right flipper tip, when traveling down the right playfield at an average speed, with the right flipper raised. This only happens on occasion

Ball shadows on when captured on flippers with following tables:

- who dunnit
- addams family
- dracula
-twilight zone
-starship troopers

Dracula lighting seems better on this release, but the DMD is still muddy and blurry. The lights around the rest of the table have a very fuzzy Hugh to them.

For me Black Knight 2000 DX11 lighting still seem off to me, the table just seems very dull even if you have the lights bulbs at 100% they just dont light up the table like other tables...the lights seems to be smeared with vaseline or something

*XENON BUG* - Collision point - I hit a ball that went up to the top left with a little bit of speed on it ... right at about the round, green, #1 light and it shot out of the back of the table, hit the wall and bounced back and rolled away on floor on the left side of table. The table did put a ball in the plunger lane for me immediately after that without having to go to the attendant though.

Mike ... can we get the mouse to disappear after a few seconds like it does on DX9? I know for sure its not going to make it to a front burner issue, but fix for that should not be to hard and its driving me crazy! :p

I think it should be a front burner issue. Drives me nutz.

Not sure if it's G-Sync messing things up or if it's something else altogether but I can't get a playable frame rate at all in DX11 fullscreen on Win10 build 10122.

I'm running version 352.84 of the Nvidia drivers.

EDIT: Running the fps launch option shows that I'm getting 30-40 FPS and it varies at an alarming rate. Also, here's the settings I'm using at 1920x1080.

MSAA: 4x
MSAA Quality: 0
Anisotropy: 16x
Brighter Ball: Off

EDIT 2: Just turned MSAA and Anisotropy to 1x but didn't get any improvement.

Anyone know why some tables in portrait mode fit the screen great like Medieval Madness and some of them like Monster Bash will be zoomed in a bit so there are no visible outlanes?

Just don't Beta-test a program on an unstable OS, which the fast ring of Windows Preview is.
Try it on Windows 8.1 and see what results you get there.

FYI,

Anyone with intermittent slow downs on certain tables, please make sure you set your monitors/tvs to "gaming" preset if you have one.

I was recently tweaking my monitor and noticed that DX11 was acting horribly with Xenon, WW, POTO. Noticed that all my problems were related to having my monitor set to "standard".

Stability improved when I switched it back to "gaming". Mind you it's not flipper delays like most people would expect. I was getting > 30 fps.

What is your backbuffer resolution set to?
I am using 1080p and every table is locked to 60 FPS with 4x MSAA (quality 100) and 16x anisotropic filtering.
I'm on Windows 8.1 and my PC only has a 570 rather than a 680.

As far as the game is concerned, G-Sync just means that V-Sync is disabled, so it should not be affecting the framerate.
