I would request super Mario bros kickstarter.

Yeah I tried the rift. And I have played with the PlayStation move controllers. Which if your gaming you will be swinging your arms around, it gets tiring. I'm not saying there won't be a market it for it. But once the gimmick wears off, it will go the way of the Wii and kinect. And I don't know to many people who have money to buy a new ps4k then drop another 300 on a vr headset. So if you think its going to be some kind of overnight explosion, well I just don't see it that way. But then again I'm not a fanboy.

I'm just going to link to this thread, because it says everything far more eloquently than I ever could:

We are not looking at a PS Move or a TrackIR here, or even hardware that had corporate backing as substantial as the Kinect. VR is not a gimmick being pushed down consumers' throats by any particular company's intent to capitalize on success they've seen elsewhere. VR, rather, is firmly a part of the future of technology in every sense (and for every sense...), and should any of the current lineup of VR devices not take off in widespread adoption it won't change the course the technology is headed in. Facebook, Sony, Valve, Apple, Google, Samsung, and just about every other notable tech company has placed VR firmly in its sights, in some cases to a staggering degree that we've only seen the tip of publicly, and beyond the giants we have countless hardware and software startups going all-in on VR to push its boundaries. VR is not the only future, but it is a definite aspect of our future.

Btw, did you know that PS VR and all the other HMDs allow (indeed, require) you to use a standard controller (like the Dualshock 4 or XB1 controller)? Motion controls like Move, Oculus Touch and Vive's are actually used for 1:1 postional tracking in 3D space for games where you can pick things up and interact directly with objects.

Yeah and I could care less, other for the pinball side of it. PlayStation doesn't interest me, Xbox interests me more than vr.

I didn't know Nintendo and Sony were both developing games for iOS and Android. It's smart. As much as I love my Vita, it's dead. Nintendo DS-whatever is just as doomed.

Also, totally agree with SYT about disc based media(games, Blu-ray, UHD). It won't be dead until 1 Gig broadband is available nationwide.

Ehh.... Their apps have been half-measures. Nintendo is "experimenting" but they definitely aren't ready to leave the handheld space (no matter how irrelevant it is these days) as the NX is some handheld/home console ecosystem/hybrid. No one knows for sure but a handheld component is confirmed.

The 3DS actually did pretty well starting in 2013, but it's at the end of its life. Nintendo's move into mobile is more about pressure from investors than a dying handheld market. Sony's apps have been more utilitarian. Vita is dead, but the funny thing is that it has a massive library and just keeps getting games. Great games, too. Probably the best-supported hardware flop ever. Granted, that support is largely indie and niche Japanese stuff, but there's quality in there. Heck, Vita just got a solid port of XCOM: Enemy Unknown for a mere $20. Better late than never!

I'm still waiting for the gameboy. And as far as the internet, with cellular company's starting to offer unlimited data plans, and Google threatening fiber, and Obama offering low income internet. The company's are starting to be more relaxed with the internet, well at least where I'm at. Also isn't It funny forigen conturys have better internet than u.s.a., and we invented the internet.

I live in the middle of SoCal suburbia. My city is surrounded by FiOS. The internet available to me is atrocious. If you go with the phone company, top speed is 7 mbps. Only other option is to go with cable, where top speed is 100 mbps. While that is good, it costs an arm and a leg. The simple truth is our city does not want to tear up the streets to drop fiber in. Foreign countries have better internet because they started off installing a better infrastructure that could be scaled. I would love for Google Fiber to come to my city as it is cheap and excessively fast, but it isn't happening anytime in the next 5 or 10 years.

My friend lives on a main/heavily-trafficked road in Broad Ripple, IN. That's a big college town in Indianapolis. The ONLY internet she can get on her street tops out at 200kb/sec. I'm not joking, it is frightening.

The Vita does have a huge library. I love mine! Like you said though, mostly Indies. Uncharted and Killzone are both good.

Wow in Toledo and surrounding area we got a 300mb. But cost 250 a month. It's a rip off. I wouldn't pay that much for 1gig. Internet company's are ********. Hopefully cell phone company's will he able to put some out of business. Until there is strong competition, we are there slaves.

I know we're way off topic but I love my Vita, too. I've owned every Nintendo handheld, the original Game Boy was my my first game console, and the Vita is the first one I've bought that wasn't made by them. Without a doubt, the Vita is my favorite handheld that I've owned. Sure, the vast majority of its library can be played elsewhere, but the fact that it can play so many great games on the go with that gorgeous screen is what makes it so awesome. And I find that the indies are often perfectly suited to on-the-go play. It doesn't hurt that it has cross-buy, Zen and TPA, either.

Ahh, thanks. I'm looking forward to when we get some information (date I say) DIRECTLY from Nintendo. All these rumours are tiresome.
