Were they only available as a perk, or will they eventually be for sale? I forget.
They will be available for purchase.

Currently you can use custom balls for leaderboards and tournies - what going to happen with these balls if they give an unfair advantage?
has Farsight mentioned anything about the gold edition or the special ball physics reward since the kickstarter ended?
Great news... if all goes right of course... still... GREAT NEWS ^^Since FarSight spilled the beans on Facebook, I'll do the same here.
Phantom of the Opera (for platforms that don't have it yet), The Party Zone, Earthshaker, Starship Troopers and The Addams Family should be available on PS3 (NA/EU), PS4 (NA/EU), PS Vita (NA/EU) and Xbox One mid to late March if all goes as planned.

didnt know this good tibit
Yeah I don't like using the custom balls except on tables where the normal ball is really hard to see - t2 I use the yellow smiley face and gorgar a green ball. I had these set up in normal game play and they show up during tournaments. Looks like the new Adams ball will disable tournaments and leader boards - good - but now curious if it will disable all custom balls.
I'm sure part of it is because for some reason the early SS / EM crowd, while often vocal, is smaller than the 90s revival crowd. For this reason, most of the >10K produced mid 80s-90s pins have gotten requested a lot. Most of the >10K produced mid 70s-early 80s pins, not so much.
Hence you see far more requests for, say, the most visible Sterns like TSPP and LOTR (Stern doesn't release numbers but it seems like the guesstimates say it's probably <6000 pins) versus, say, Flash (19.5K pins) or Mata Hari (16.2K pins). Nothing wrong with Flash, Mata Hari, EB, etc. -- they *did* do something right and that's why they sold well. But they are from a different time.
(Actually, it's kind of funny, but the runaway early SS requested pins (Paragon and Xenon) weren't really the biggest in terms of # of units produced.)
TAF is kind of iconic as a 90s pin though.
When will backers get our codes for Steam and iOS?
