New Stern Pinball Arcade: AC/DC Kickstarter is FULLY FUNDED!!!

They could've first prepared a statement, got an approval from Stern, then canceled the Kickstarter and released that statement right after.
But for some reason the cancellation had to be done immediately and the backers are left in the cold for 5-6 hours now. This doesn't give me a good feeling.

What a shame. I really hope this still happens. I was ready to put down a chunk of money for this one. I love this pinball table. I hope it's not dead. I also hope the official word has a silver lining.
TPA is my favorite proprietary video game. And...their PR skills probably couldn't be much worse.
The Zaccaria guys, on the other hand, just announced they're working on cab support for the Steam release, even though we feel WAY short of financing that stretch goal. Awesome!

I love the table too. We have one at Mountain Mikes Pizza about half an hour from us and I drive up the hill to play regularly. That said, I am way more excited about ANY SPA release featuring a new physics engine. Losing AC/DC would be a bummer, but the truly saddening day in my opinion will be if Physics 4.0 fails to deliver the goods. Still hoping SPA will do us proud.
Their quality control leaves a bit to be desired too.

Honestly I feel sorry for those who got super hyped for this. Hopefully you all still get your chance to pick it up at $10 in the future anyway.
I got to play Ghostbusters the other day! It was pretty dang awesome I must say. Also got to try the new Spiderman (seems like rhe same playfield) and GOT LE. And I have had a few goes on good ol ACDC before. I will probably cough up the dough for them when released. Also, would Frankenstein and other rereleased tables have updated software? That could be a good way to get folks to rebuy.
On the kickstarter, I would like to see them take the gamble of refineing what we currently have in TPA to build morale and undoubtedly boost sales with the current user base first. Mainly please fix Black Knight! Also improved realism in the physics would rule like you guys say.
SELL us your new game Farsight! We really want you guys to do awesome stuff and succeed! I will gladly pay $10 for a fantastic ACDC recreation, until then I look forward to TX Sector, season 6 and playing the amazing library of pins already in my TPA collection.

Yes but there is a risk that by the time you get an answer the glass will be totally empty ^^mates never jump to conclusions,there`s always a reason,i never bag anyone until I`ve heard everyones side.my glass is never half empty it`s always half full.

They got an AC/DC table (with songs and what not) so they gave FS a cease and desist.
Wonder how much they paid in license fees...

Yesterday I saw the Kickstarter page, watched the video, and right when it ended I saw that it was cancelled.
This would have been the first KS since Addams that I would have contributed to, this is very weird and the silence isn´t a good sign at all
In any case, Stark Trek + Ghostbusters is fantastic news, I would love better physics and graphics, and I´m actually really excited about a remade Ripleys, I love that table.

If they couldn't say the reason for the cancellation right away, they should at least have said something like this" We are deeply sorry that we had to cancel this kickstarter, we will soon come out with an official statement about the reason for this"

did anyone think the trouble might be coming from ACCA DACCAs side,maybe,there not in a great position at the moment,Johno can`t sing,there`s only 1 original left.and if my memory serves me right one former members is in gaol.maybe Stern were testing us,who knows ?as long as we get the Stern APP I`m not too fussed,minus ACDC,it`s not the end of the world,but I still would like it.this was just a thought bubble !!!

I was initially concerned that this was a bigger issue, but it is all about a "licensing issue" specific to the table per a reply on their facebook page.
