I want to thank everyone for their first rate feedback about why I should vote for Wizard. I did watch all the videos posted on the first page of this thread and others I found by Google search. Neglectoid, I honestly missed the PAPA video of Wizard. I watched the Fast Draw video and must have overlooked the PAPA video because Wizard is the shortest machine in the W's.

I appreciated you pointing out the PAPA video, neglectoid. The video sure made the machine look a lot more fun and challenging. It is going to get my vote.

The poll standings for this poll are now hidden for the duration of the poll series. The Top Ten Most Wanted Electro-Mechanical Tables, as voted by the pinball community, will be revealed on Friday September 6, 2013.

I have a question for those that voted for Centigrade 37 and Wizard. I really would like to know your reasons why - no sarcasm meant at all in this statement.

I know you got some answers for the Wizard love, as for Centigrade 37, here are my thoughts. It is the number 2 rated EM on Pinside. I love the comic style sci fi artwork. One of the very best looking playfields and backglasses. The animated backglass is cool. It's almost another way to keep score. Trying to get that thermometer to the top is a lot more interesting and interactive than the monkey hitting the bell on CP. The duel inlanes are interesting especially the right side which is a little tricky/different than most pins. I also love the serial rollovers down the right side (Atlantis also has this). There is a bank of drops to satisfy drop target lovers like me. The kick out hole is a great shot too. The shot to the left of the bumpers to get back up to the top rollovers if also cool. The only thing missing for me is a spinner shot, but that's about it. Plus it is pretty rare, I think less than 2,000 made. Those are some of the reasons I'd like to see it. I think the video doesn't do it justice. I looked around YouTube and PW did use the best one, but I don't think it gives a great feel for a truly classic pin.

I did, but I don't think it would be appropriate to post it since PiN WiZ had opted to keep it hidden.

I don't really have a real interest in playing any of these old tables, but I'm a sucker for anything sci-fi. :D

I'm not going to spoil it for anyone, but it loosely follows the voting pattern of those who voted at the start, presumably because after making their 3 or 4 choices they went and voted in others by people who knew better :p

I also missed the Saturday glimpse of the vote standings. Is there a kind soul out there who could PM me the top 5?

Funny, your post prompted me to go back and look at those posts. My votes also closely resembled those. However, I purposely didn't read any of those posts before because I didn't want to be swayed by anyone's opinions. I based my votes solely on real life experience, and the gameplay videos and photos. Oh, and I sprinkled in a bit of nostalgia too!

I just checked their facebook page and I can't find any mention of these polls. What day did you see that posted?

I have no idea! :D I'm going to guess that it was about a week before this poll went live but it could have been longer ago than that. This poll was posted on 6/9 for reference.

I scrolled back through May and there's no mention of it. If there was a post about it then it has been deleted.

This poll will be closing soon. Tomorrow I think.
The Williams poll is scheduled to start on June 23rd. Be curious to see what 30 pins we will get to pick from.
Can't wait for the Bally poll. I have an itch to vote for Fathom.

I guess I'd better vote before time runs out. I've decided to vote strategically. Spirit of 76 is the most important table to be in TPA, so I'll avoid voting for the other front runners from last Saturday's reveal. The other criteria are gameplay over artwork, good use of the playfield features of the time, rulesets and the recommendations of MontanaFrank, who played a lot of these back in the day. That leaves me with five picks out of the maximum ten. In order of preference:

1. Spirit of 76
2. Royal Flush
3. Jet Spin
4. Fast Draw
5. Atlantis

Bring on the next poll!

I wonder if TPA would do Spirit of 76 because Microsoft did a recreation of the table in their Microsoft Pinball Arcade. They also reproduced Haunted House in that series.

Well, I was thinking of licensing. I would think, which I shouldn't do, that Microsoft would still have a license for the table, even though these tables were produced a long time ago.

I seriously doubt that Microsoft ever renewed their license to distribute Gottlieb tables on a pinball game that is now 15 years old and not making them any money, so this should be a non-issue.
