They are (losing money) because no one will buy individual tables (all of them)
I think we're getting into baseless speculation here. Only Farsight knows these figures for sure.
They are (losing money) because no one will buy individual tables (all of them)
In addition I feel they should consider making Season 3 Cross-Buy between PS3 & PS4.

I know this statement isn't true because I will buy all the individual tables. It's the only way that I've purchased tables except for season one for the PS4. I own all the tables for the PS3 and PS4 and I haven't purchased any season passes.
I feel they should make all games cross buy.
</reductio ad absurdum>

I had to buy all the season 1 and 2 table packs individually on my Ouya, because I got a pre-launch Ouya and had downloaded most of the packs available prior to the "day one" update. Had I waited, Season 1 pass and Season 2 pass would have been instant buys, so I was grateful for the opportunity to buy Season 3 pass while it was available. Still, pretty dumb move on Farsight's part to cancel it across all platforms because a single storefront had a policy against it. Screw Apple. It shouldn't affect Android, PC, Steam, Ouya, PSN, or Xbox Live. By that logic, Farsight should have pulled TPA from all platforms because it got pulled from XBLA.
Wait what?!?
See how little sense that makes when you cut off the relevance from the original quote?
Definitely not absurd.. yes I speak Latin.
Speaking for myself and about 6 of my friends, Farsight WILL lose money because we all planned on buying Season 3. The lack of a Season Pass on the PS3/PS4, along with the switch to 1 table per pack is making us all more selective on our table purchases.
So what you're saying is that if someone buys FIFA14 for PS3 they should be entitled to it for PS4?

I'm still mad about nba jam not working for both SNES and Genesis. Not to mention donkey kong for my Atari 2600 and my nes years later.

****, just because you bought it on PS3 you deserve it on PS4? Hell, I think Farsight should be shipping us all REAL pinball tables as an included bonus for the buy in price.
And why hasn't Sega shipped me my Outrun 2 arcade machine after I bought the game for the classic Xbox???
Did I ever say I deserved anything?
I said they should consider it.
You guys really need to listen and read properly. Your examples are poor at best.
You can make a mockery of this all you want, but Farsight is losing money and making bad choices. This board is not representative of the average buyers on PSN. Many people are buying PS4 consoles and will not double, triple, quadruple dip like you maniacs.
And really... comparing modern DLC to 30 year old cartridges just proves you are not up on how things work now.
Again I'm not saying any of the old DLC should be free to anyone. I'm talking specifically on Season 3.
If you don't own a PS4 you shouldn't even bother commenting on this matter.
And if you bought FIFA14 (on anything) or Donkey Kong on the Atari 2600 I'm so sorry to hear that.

i remember getting a donkey kong cartridge that didn't work for my Atari 2600. I think it was a widespread problem.I'm still mad about nba jam not working for both SNES and Genesis. Not to mention donkey kong for my Atari 2600 and my nes years later.
One could argue that PSN is in itself a platform. The delivery medium doesn't change anything. You buy a game on a platform you get it on that platform.
Which would be perfectly fine if those tables were not bring held back by Microsoft's new rules on indie releases. If you buy it on an older platform it's not a wasted purchase you play it on the platform you purchased it on.
As I said, I was speaking for myself and some friends. They are losing our money. That and you act like you have access to their financial reports or something when you claim as fact that they are losing money.
I disagree. The examples are pretty on par whether you like them or not. The PS4 is a different architecture from the PS3 and it's a different set of code.
Again, I disagree. Most people won't buy the same tables for both the PS3 & PS4. We do, but not everyone is as willing. The PS3 and vita cross buy was a nice thing to do but if they give two copies for the price of one then they need to sell twice as many copies to make the same amount of money. If they don't and lose less than half of their sales then they are coming out ahead.
Argh... why do you make me hurt the company I love??Imagine the tables we would have if Farsight did everything zen did.
