Quite the bump out of the grave.
Seeing this TSPP thread again reminded me that Keith Johnson that designed it is the one doing the new Hobbit table.

This Simpsons table is one on my short list of games I'd really love to own (and mod).

I'd still totally back a Simpsons 2-Pack Kickstarter.
I've not been all that active in TPA over the last six months or so. Something like this would totally get me back into it again.

It's probably one of the only two-pack Kickstarters that would work as they would both require exactly the same licence. Other previous examples have had different actors to licence, different studios holding the rights etc.

Getting Simpsons/Family Guy/ LOTR - would be a big step up for FS. Put them toe to toe with Zen and their Disney deal.

Since FS has gone on record (during the Diner Twitch?) stating that they can't do Monopoly due to EA having exclusivity, I'd have to think the same goes for The Simpsons.

Hey, hopefully I'm wrong. But since EA is responsible for The Simpsons Tapped Out, I'd have to think that they have the same kind of video game licensing exclusivity for The Simpsons that they do with Monopoly.

One more reason to hate the Evil A**holes! I keep wishing they'd see their comeuppance (Trip Hawkins said years ago they now represent the epitome of what he was fighting against when he founded the company, and they've only got worse since then) and while they've taken a punch now and then (Madden sales aren't what they used to be once people finally figured out it was the same game each year with a roster update and a few new features) the money now, screw the customers, brand, and reputation has not only continued to work for them, but spread to other companies, Activision being the most prominent.

Read on Facebook :
The Pinball Arcade : EA has an exclusive deal for monopoly, there's no way we can do it.

Probably until the end of time too. Probably the same with Simpsons too. Knew FS should have gone after TSPP instead of T2! Now it'll never happen!

T2 was only last year; EA have had their hooks into The Simpsons since at least 2012, almost certainly before then. TSTO launched on iOS in early 2012, Android in early 2013 and has been persisting ever since.

Why would you think that? What does Monopoly remotely have to do with the Simpsons at all?

Nothing - well unless you count The Simpsons Monopoly, which is a real thing. What I mean is, if EA have exclusive licensing for Monopoly (presumably to produce video games), it stands to reason they'd have similar exclusivity for other intellectual properties such as The Simpsons.
