Wow TAF Kickstarter? Hmm hefty licenses could mean some other great tables coming to TPA like Lord of the Rings. (My all time favorite table) As it is I don't see the allure for TAF. I've played the real table and to me it's like Twilight Zone. It's ok and seems very popular.

They clearly had made, or almost finished, development of T2 before the Kickstarter had finished. I was always suspicious of that. You have to wonder what they would have done if the KS failed... admit they could afford it themselves anyway?

The funding of the kickstarter has nothing to do with them actually building the TPA version. It's about being able to release it. If T2 failed, they would've had to eat the TPA development cost or as you stated, cough up the licensing cost themselves. But if they did that, that may have damaged the credibility of their need for KS and in turn, future KS campaigns.

Considering the ongoing clamor for this table, I'm sure that...

a) Everybody (FS and their customers) is sure the KS funding will succeed.
b) Because of "a)" the table is probably already in TPA form. It probably has been for a while now.

For some reason the table Genesis popped into my head, which is not really a favorite of mine.

Who knows what it will be I'm just happy about TAF, 4 tables coming for PS3 next tues and a new tourney starting on the 25th.

Perhaps it could be Road Kings.
