Agreed, but season one was sort of an easy one, in that they could get many of the great tables out of the way. MM, CFTBL, AfM, MB, CV, ToM, EatPM, SS, TZ, TOTAN, FH, BK. There are still some great tables out there, but season one could more easily chose from the best, and did a good job with it.

Season 3 had a very strong finish with BSD.But yeah apart from TAF the rest of season 4 is below par especially tables like PZ and Starship Troopers. Not really excited by Cyclone that much either.Easy decision for me whether I should buy the season 4 pass.No thanks.

I haven't bought it myself either, although it is partly because last time I tried it didn't work cleanly on PS4. I know there is a way to get it to work, but I'd like to see it work cleanly before committing. I'll buy it eventually though. I totally agree on the strong finish with BSD, best season 3 table.

What do you think ?
I see Stargate (after Xenon and HS2).

Could be but I think the next table will be Xenon as a response I saw last week from FS on FB page "Really Soon". Pretty sure hs2 will finish up the season like folks are saying. And I can see Stargate happening as well. Time will tell!! ;)

I predict... the mystery Gottlieb will be Monte Carlo.

And then Freddy: A Nightmare on Elm Street this October in Season 5.

What if it's Sorcerer?

That would rock!

Seriously,I think 38 will be the Gottlieb (probably Surf N' Safari or TX Sector)
39-Xenon
40-The Getaway

That would put season 4 at an even DMD/HUD ratio.

HUD-PoTO, ES, Cyclone, Unnamed Gottlieb, Xenon
DMD-TPZ, SST, TAF, JB, TG:HS2.

I was going to say that, but 2 casino/card themes so close together seems unlikely. I bet we get it at some point though.

I don't think rarity of a table stops it from being reproduced. They said they want to preserve tables for the future. Rarity doesn't necessarily mean bad table. Cactus canyon is rare because it's the last table bally made and they didn't even really finish it. The software isn't really finished. They have mentioned big bang bar as possible recreation, it's a rare table. But I think they would need to buy or at least borrow a physical table so they can shoot high-res photos of it and copy the rom. Wouldn't hurt if they get to play it to see how it plays and behaves, I guess.

Supposedly Cactus Canyon's production (and rom update) was cut short because WMS was putting their time, energy, and money into the Pinball 2000 series. Their arcade games division probably didn't help money matters much either at that time. CC does have an important place in pinball history as WMS's last "traditional" table, and it's great that FarSight was able to preserve it.

Their arcade division was actually doing pretty well. NFL blitz and Area 51 was a huge hit along with a couple sequels. Not to mention hydro thunder, San Francisco rush, gauntlet legends, and rampage world tour. There were some other games that were not huge commercial successes but still seen at arcades and movie theaters fairly often (open ice, off road thunder, mace, an some others).

EBD, Sorcerer, and Fathom are my remaining top 3 non-dmd games. So it won't be one of those...lol I would also like to see some early Sterns get in there as well....so those are probably also out.

Many great stand up games Bowflex! I know you can get Area 51 along with other great games like rampage for example in the App Store. Look for the Bally/midway app!! Very happy I got it. It's set up like you are actually walking through an arcade. Some great, great classics! Enjoy

Definitely lots of greats. I believe had pinball 2k been given a real chance, we would have seen pins tied in to some of those. Definitely rampage world tour and gauntlet would have leant themselves well to a pin. NFL blitz could have as well and maximum force could have been good (a51 was too close to attack/revenge from mars). I think mortal kombat would have made an excellent transition as well!

I should have re-phrased that. Yes, they did have some hits, but nothing on the scale of the early 90's, when pins like Funhouse, TAF, TZ, FT, and ST:TNG each had 5-figure sales, and many other WMS tables had high 4-figure sales too. While they did have some arcade hits, they naturally never approached the sales figures of the Mortal Kombat series and NBA Jam games. From what I saw on "Tilt: The Battle to Save Pinball", it was their casino gaming division that was beginning to carry WMS around that time.
