If you guys really wanna get a sense for my taste in tables, you should check out http://digitalpinballfans.com/showthread.php/4661-Pinball-League-in-SoCal as I discuss a ton of tables there. Noticed a bunch of my pics are no longer showing, which is odd, but oh well. Haven't updated it in a while as I post pics from league now on my Twitter account. You could also see what polls I participated in, or listen to the BlahCade.

Yes, I am shamelessly self promoting all my outlets!

May your gut feeling be correct!

I have never played this one before. I'm curious to see how it plays-especially with the vertical playfield. Forgive me if I seem skeptical, but PFX2's vertical mini-playfield's have not made a good impression on me. I'd rather see it in season 5 myself, but I'll accept if FarSight decides to bring it out in season 4.

My only must-haves for TPA that remain are Getaway, R&T, Surf-N-Safari, and either LoTR or TSPP (doubtful they'll do kickstarters for both, even at different times). Of course I enjoy the experience of trying out new (to me) tables. Without a doubt, BR fits the bill.

My perception of that game has been ruined from that tedious hunt for the 3M-goal so I couldn't even judge that in an honest way. I just really dislike the Gottlieb tables.

So, #39 will be a cool title, ey? It HAS to be The Shadow then. All the clues point to that! All the clues, as in all my wishful thinking while looking at the non-existing clues.

If I can reach the 3M goal, anybody can. The most important tip I can give is to remain calm. I've lost count of how many times I've attended "the drain-fest" at the 2.5M mark while still in Ball 1 (or in some cases, Ball _). It's OK to take a break and catch your breath between the 2-2.5M mark. Stay calm and try to steer clear of the various SDTM ricochets. I also have no love for that left lane "death arch".

Dissenting opinion here. Banzai Run has a cool gimmick, but it really doesn't make for interesting gameplay. Every trip to the upper playfield is just to make the same dull sequence of stop-and-go shots. It plays like Victory, which isn't a ringing endorsement. I predict you Banzai Run fans will be about as satisfied as us High Speed fans were.

I'll throw a hopeful vote behind Safe Cracker as well.

I think the most likely scheme is a Gottlieb non-DMD for #39, then Getaway as #40 to close the season and drive sales as a premium DMD, like BSD did. Although it's hard to see what Gottlieb would be getting Mike excited. :)

You're crazy. I can think of a few you wouldn't have to put a gun to his head to get his appetite going for, nor me. A very select few to be sure, but I'm sure a title or two could be dug up where there's meat enough on the bones for some fun lasting pinball action to be had.

Banzai Run is nothing like Victory. The only common factor is a) It's a race theme b) they both uses steel balls and flippers. Banzai Run might not be the most advanced table out there but personally I find it to be a blast to play

For anyone not familiar, just watch this video and please tell me if you get a Victory feel. It is a totally different experience all together (PS! I own this game so I might be a bit biased :) )

Ok now I'm thinking Bone Buster Inc, but I'd've thought they'd save it for Halloween. They might wanna save some Lawlors for later anyways now that I think about it.

I mean the backbox playfield plays like Victory, you just make the same sequence of stop-and-go shots every time. There's more to the game overall, but not a lot more.

I realized that right after I said it. The 'bones' thing threw me off from SYTd message. I'm switching to Bonzai Run for my guess

Banzai Run is highly requested, unique, and carries no big licenses.

Id take it!

It's gonna be Safe Cracker though.

I don't like the backbox in Banzai Run either. It's a cool idea, but it feels clunky and repetitive to me. But I do like the lower playfield.

Banzai Run is one of the first pins I specifically remember playing. 1988, Balboa Funzone. They also had Comet, Haunted House, and Space Invaders. I'm sure there were more, but those were the ones that stuck with me.
